One of the questions regarding the conduct of the big city A lister in the wake of the terrible events is why she was so quiet when first confronted and largely dodged press while she was out of town.  It wasn’t just because she had no answer when accused of incompetence.  The big city A lister was married and divorced when she was younger but since then has exclusively had relationships with women. She is not hiding in the closet but neither does she discuss her personal life. On the trip that was occurring during the terrible events, she brought along her female partner of ten years and she did not want to add to the media feeding frenzy so maintained a low profile until she came back. It is true she did not handle these events well.  This only added to it.
