Today's Blind Items - On The Road
This musician was big in the 1960's. Big, as in A- list. He was in a group that had a couple of top 5 hits, including a #1. The other hit wasn't really their own so to speak. Our musician's band shared an iconic name with something else in pop culture. Our musician was always very strange when it came to revealing details about himself whether it was his age or why he carried multiple sets of identification. There was a rumor when the band was touring heavily in the 60's that our musician had killed a groupie during a sex session that turned violent. After quitting music, he married someone who was also in the music business. Their job was to travel around the country and the world looking for new groups to sign. They were very influential. I suppose it is just a coincidence that in several of those cities they stopped at to visit clubs and see bands that several times female patrons of said clubs turned up dead. Did he do it? Did his wife help? It is interesting that he never wanted kids because he said he was too impulsive and couldn't control his bad side.
