Blind Item #9 - Reader Blind - Kindness

Some years ago, a statue was completed in his native country of this deceased beloved TV comedian.  Since then, a permanent location has been sought after.  This is not just because of his many decades of hilarious tv shows which were also popular in the US through syndication (although political correctness has tarnished that somewhat)  but because the TV comedian, who lived very frugally, never owned a house or a car. gave a lot of his  money to orphans and unwed mothers.  The never married performer also left a lot of his sizeable estate to charity.  He did not like publicity for his charitable work but it was one of his main activities besides performing.  A politician in his home country recently referred him to as "the Anti-Jimmy Saville".
