Today's Blind Items - The Replacement

Nearly two decades ago there was a movie made (#1) that starred these two A list mostly movie actors (#2 & #3) who previously had starred together in a different movie (#4). This permanent A list actor (#5) also starred in the movie as their father. HOWEVER, #5 was a last-minute replacement for this different permanent A list actor (#6) who had been initially cast. #6 left the production soon after shooting began due to “scheduling conflicts.” That was not true and just a cover for the real story. What happened was that on his first day of shooting, #6 arrived on the set a shambling wreck, drunk and not knowing any of his lines. He was hopeless. Immediately, he was fired and #5 was brought in to replace #6.
