Left out of a recent literary product about a family that has A list name recognition was the brushing your teeth story. The author included it, but the publisher didn't want it in print. The story goes that when an elder relative was going to join you in your bed or have you join them, the code was to make sure you brush your teeth. The phrase is still used today and is just as horrific as it was back when the author first experienced it. There is one family member who isn't given the code phrase because with her, it is a given she will be used every night unless one of the other girls catches the eye of the predator.
