Another day, another tournament fixed to favor a particular outcome. All the teams involved play in the foreign league you all know (although the tournament like most in the sport is separate from the league) and two have a bitter rivalry. One of the losing teams is seen as an underdog given their more recent ascendancy as opposed to their opponents. These opponents have been A++ for at least three decades, although have arguably slipped to A+ in recent years. Regardless, they will always be permanent A list based on the game changing success they experienced a while back (something which their rivals may emulate this season). The losers have had a good season and in fact they beat their opponents on the road, early in the campaign. They got paid very handsomely to throw their chance at a trophy and ensure that the final the league wanted to happen, did.
