Back when this former late night actor was in the midst of a divorce, and shortly thereafter, there was a pilot being filmed in NYC. Our former late night actor knew the writer and the producers really well and went one day to watch the shoot. The next thing you know, he is there every day and dating this pretty unknown actress at the time, who you and the whole world knows now. This was very hot and very heavy. The only reason they didn't end up together is because after the pilot, the rest of the shooting took place north of the border and the actor started dating the actress/director.
