In the hills above Orange County lies a particular canyon. While today it hosts a popular hiking trail and is just minutes from suburbia, this wasn’t always the case. Older Millennials and Gen-Xers who grew up in the neighboring towns all heard the scary stories growing up. Not only about strange apparitions and creatures, but all the cult activity that went on there. The name of the place alone conjured fear. See, back in the ‘80s and before, this place was in the middle of nowhere and its dark history made it attractive for those with dark interests, and it wasn’t just limited to random cultists. There was a group that included some very rich and powerful people from around the world who gathered there on certain occult holidays to do things that wouldn’t be allowed on the campground of that Northern California group a lot of them belonged to. One of the participants was said to be this now-deceased former governor who was in office around that time.
