Blind Item #8 - Reader Blind - 90's Limo Driver

The driver met the late permanent A list game show host at the gate. He was carrying a beaten-up hard case Samsonite carry-on bag, probably from the 50’s. The driver greeted him and placed the bag on the luggage cart. At the same time, the A list actress from a country music family emerged from the plane looking miserable and put her bags on another driver’s cart.

 The game show host gazed at the actress. “Young lady, are you ok? Is there anything I can do?” he asked, patting her on the shoulder. The actress managed a smile and thanked him for his concern. They all began walking toward baggage claim.

The game show host spoke in a hushed tone to the driver. “That poor thing was very sick on the plane. I was very worried about her.” 

“You know who she is don’t you? She’s a big star right now,” the driver said.

The game show host squinted at the actress, who was walking a few yards in front of him. “Oh, really? I had no idea. I don’t get to pictures much anymore,” he said in his iconic television voice.
