As one will, a recent conversation turned to Daytime Emmy Awards and how they never got anyone a raise, were really only relevant for a year or two and are mostly used to help people get closer to an EGOT. That led to the story of how back in the day, the magazine that tracks daytime programming also gave out their own awards and to get one, simply required you take the editor out to a great dinner and as much booze as they wanted.
