Made ham and garlic rolls last night. But last thing that was more from scratch was lasagna. I haven't baked sweets since Christmas, when I bake and decorate cookies as part of gifts.
Easter dinner yesterday!! Honey baked ham , home made mashed potatoes with lots of butter , steamed vegetables, crescent rolls , gravy , and dessert .😋
Made a coconut vanilla cake yesterday that I tried to cut into the shape of a bunny for Easter like my mom used to make. Cutting it was a disaster, but it still tasted yummy!
A friend gave us wonderful stuffed cabbage for Easter, and this morning I reheated the last one in the oven. It was awesome. She is Romanian, and her "pigs in a blanket" were just like my Bohemian grandmother's. mmm mmm
I don’t think I had dinner last night. I was doing errands and laundry because I figured everywhere would be quiet and it was. One of my family members set up a Zoom call, so that we could all celebrate together. So I definitely had wine and some snacks but never really ate dinner. My family is very loud and I kept trying to moderate, to no avail. It was a bit chaotic because even the dogs were involved, but lots of fun. I kept waiting for someone to accidentally take their device into the bathroom (we were on for a long time), but it never happened 😉.
