The alliterate former actress has the best, if not the best team you could hire in town. Apparently though she has sent word out through her media mouthpiece to the north that she isn't happy with them. Why? No one wants to hire her at the rate she thinks she deserves. No one wants to hire her for the projects she thinks she deserves. Her demands are much higher than reality. Oh, and as a side note. Since she can't use the title any longer, the movie studio asked if she wanted to change the name under which she is credited. She said of course not and that is who she is even if she "can't use" it any longer.

ReplyDeleteTo preface, I detest ostrich Meghan and I don't doubt that her career is dead... but why does Harry never get the same heat. He's just as guilty as her by ALWAYS ENABLING HER. He could stop all the mess after mess because the one with the money and connections makes the rules (or should). BUT WHY DOES HE LET MEGHAN KEEP EMBARRASSING THEM BOTH? He could have long put his foot down but no, it looks like this guy wants the monarchy on its knees. And he's using Meghan too do it all while he's looking like a harmless sheep.

First is the timing of COVID-19, which has shut Hollywood down and will ensure literally no one will be in the mood or position to hand her freebies when production kicks back up. Second, she has burned all bridges with the royal family -- Hollywood is nothing if not superficial and interested in what she can give them in return, which now is nothing, no acting ability and no access to the royals.
ReplyDeleteIf you haven't listened to snippets of the elephant documentary she did the voiceover for, you have to find it on YouTube. It's a mess. She picked awkward words to emphasize and it's just so flat.
ReplyDeleteThe thing about Harry is that he is way down the pecking order for the throne. His real father supposedly is James Hewitt. I mean, he looks more like Hewitt than Charles. Harry seems to be the type that is easily swayed and once MM got her hooks in him, it was all over. The thing I can never figure out is why did he want to marry a divorcee? Why not someone younger, hotter, that had never been married? I can't figure this dude out.

Meghan and Harry are both vile. Not sure for whom I have more disdain--Meghan for her money grubbing ways and delusions of grandeur or Harry for his stupidity and Beta male personality. She is so polarizing that I can't imagine anyone hiring her to represent their product or brand and she can't act her way out of a paper bag, so there go the acting gigs. She is fashioning herself in the likeness of Gwyneth Paltrow's GOOP. Soon she'll be selling "Smells like Spunk" candles for that klassy money spinning product. Harry was such a fool hooking into this toxic woman, but I think he's too weak and stupid to figure a way out.

I would not be surprised if that Disney Elephant movie was a test to see if she had any talent and we all know how that came out. With her not willing to compromise on her acting demands, she is absolutely done in Hollywood. No one is going to put up with her demands and attitude especially since she has NOTHING to give by way of talent or draw. Maybe she'll go the way of others who never made it and be spit out into the porn industry. That is where her talent apparently lies anyway.

ReplyDelete@micmac, you are correct. Olivia Wilde was married to an Italian prince. I think she had a courtesy title, which she never used. A.J. Langer, from My So Called Life is now the Countess of Devon. In the times she acted, she never referred to her title when she was Lady Courtenay. I think that Jessica Chastain will also be an Italian countess when her father in law passes, but it's unlikely she will use her title either. Meghan is insecure and untalented. She thinks a title makes her better than everyone else.

Actors and Actresses do use titles though, Dame Judi Dench. Sir Lawrence Olivier, etc. maybe these are earned titles, not inherited though?

Over at Blindgossip there is a blind that she is seeking an Oscar winning role. She thinks she is good enough for one and her lack of notoriety/roles was the only thing impeding here. Well then PICK a great role... TV, movies... even an indie to 'showcase your supposed chops' = find something buzz worthy that fits you and you think you can do and DO it. Stop whining. No one will just hire you because you are a Duchess who was once on SUITS. Get real. Pay your dues. You could garnish a great indie film role for not a lot of bucks but a lot of buzz and THEN demand a lot. You will open doors, get meetings, create press because of your new title and life but it won't suddenly render you a Sandra Bullock. You need to pay some dues. Be smart.
ReplyDeleteBut folks I meant to follow up saying NO her career is not dead. She is a very recognizable face who could then seek out a great indie script to star in. Some smaller project would love the buzz generated by her face and name and paps referencing it in articles with her pics. She just needs to be REALISTIC. No one is going to hand her a $40 million dollar movie or an Oscar worthy script when they can no doubt lure and secure a more established actress with a better resume. She CAN play this wisely but I sadly think her ego will get in the way and make her shoot for the stars prematurely and not be realistic about this first step back. Form your own production company and then get someone to write you a role and EPs to bankroll it somewhere. Figure it out but expecting you will get calls for Charlize Theron or Reese Witherspoon worthy material now off the bat for no good reason than you married into the royal family is BEYOND NARCISSISTIC.

Get a writer to tailor something small to you. Showcase what you think you CAN do and then step up. NO one thinks you are Sandra Bullock or Rachel McAdams. WHAT are you hoping for? No one is going to pay you huge amounts when you might blow a role and/or be a kiss of death to a production. SHOW YOU CAN ACT IF YOU SAY YOU CAN. Pay your dues. Work it. Wake the F up. Your Sussex brand like Goop failed. You can't be a household name. Play some humility card vs the Duchess card and try to worm your way into the very roles and tier you think you deserve.

That talk about “saving Meghan” is bullshit. If anyone was around in the 80s early 90s they would remember just how Diana was physically hounded by the press. THAT isn’t happening to Meghan!
