Blind Item #5 - Homicide In The Time Of Corona

Why was the FBI dragged into a murder of a couple that would normally be handled by the local police who are very very very very used to murders almost every day. Apparently one of the couple, who were both attorneys had discovered that two of the policemen he had previously investigated were running a trafficking operation. At this point it is unclear if it is people or drugs. The lean is towards people because one of the policemen only spends time with escorts brought in from other countries.

  5. Both cases are very sad. But it does look like the elderely lawyers in CHI. I dont think Placer county cops are that sophisticated. Maybe the Mrs. Wanted out and he went nuts.

  11. Bleu: A tyrant said that. No police state worth their rubber hoses can tolerate honest lawyers. Honest lawyers are the smart ones who know the rules and argue back.

  12. The murders didn't happen in Chicago, they happened in Oak Park. Murders don't happen almost every day in Oak Park, they're actually rare there!

  13. Chicago- probably discovered a link when they were digging into the Smollett case. Lot of RICO material in Chicago, just Feds never had the will to do it . Now we know why- follow the money

  14. Chicago cops would not have any jurisdiction over Oak Park, a suburb. Oak Park does not have any where near the crime rate of Chicago, and certainly not murders. I would totally understand if the FBI was involved, but they would be investigating Chicago cops, because they are the ones involved in the Laquan McDonald case. The West Suburban Major Crimes Task Force Is actually involved in this investigation with Oak Park.
