@Tricia13 - Rockford was witty and well acted. Great television in an era when there were not that many great dramas on TV.
The guy who played Sergeant Becker, Joe Santos, was on a rerun of the old Match Game the other week. Really funny guy.

@fionafab...do you know Art of Noise version of the "Peter Gunn" theme? LOVE that. But then, I pretty much love everything Art of Noise did.
Hawaii 5-0 by far
The ding dong from the Law and Order series, FTW.
I'm with fionafab:

Definitely GoT. And the theme to the Nanny, Friends, Fraser, MASH, and Veronica Mars.
Cheers, Grange Hill and the theme to Wimbledon coverage.
Although I don’t remember the TV series, the theme from Take Three Girls which I think was called Take Flight by Pentangle. I’ve always loved that song and its sixties sound. The LP also had the original 1960s Avengers theme tune and lots of other greats.
Mystery Science Theater 3000. 💕
I also love the opening to Vikings (History Channel). Goosebumps every time.
Vita, my mother used to practically swoon over James Garner. Now when I see his photo, I can see the attraction. The Rockford Files did have a great theme tune too.
I like a lot of the ones already put forth, but I need to add:
The A-Team
Correction, the Pentangle song was Light Flight.
Thanks Spotify.
@fionafab - their take on "Peter Gunn" is exceptional, but if you want to hear something really special, look for a track called "Moments In Love".
WKRP in Cincinnati
That base guitar intro to Barney Miller was great.
+10000 vita. Love that show and detective Wojo💓
Rockford files
Jeopardy, The Partridge Family, The Beverly Hillbillies, The Andy Griffith Show.
And The Jetsons
I can't believe that none of you mentioned the best TV theme song of all time. It is for The Mary Tyler Moore Show. "Who can turn the world on with her smile? Who can take a nothing day, and suddenly make it all seem worthwhile?"
The Magic Garden with Paula and Carol
Green Acres and Petticoat Junction!
That's uncle joe he's a movin kinda slow at the junction...
Theme from SWAT is seriously funky and stands on its own right.
For kitsch fun: Brady Bunch, Love Boat, Charlies Angels and Dynasty
Jose Feliciano's Chico and the Man is actually pretty good too

Wonder Years is my top favourite. RIP Joe Cocker who sang it better than the Beatles themselves.
Stranger Things - gives me a real spooky feeling. Very similar to X-files.
Narcos - I never skip the into and I don't even understand Spanish.
Fresh Prince of Bel Air - The first hip-hop song I could understand. Pardon me, English is not my first language.
Also, How to Save a Life of Grey's Anatomy. The most annoying theme song was F.R.I.E.N.D.S.
First Place - KNIGHT RIDER
Second Place - UNSOLVED MYSTERIES
Third Place - Dr. Who (the song from the 1980's, not the recent ones).
Honorable Mention - Highlander: The Series
The Avengers
Taxi
Mannix
Downton Abbey
Cheers, hands down.
