Ohh it's all smoke and mirrors....Jus 42 cases as of now! But the panic level us crazy!!! Still not up to the USA Walmart level but still... No other news at all!
CDAN is not always going to be here. A well-known military genius (of a certain age) was on Coast To Coast last night predicting power outages that will shut down the Internet in the not too distant future. I don't want to think about the day I wake up and my fridge is gone and all the ice cream, milk, yogurt, butter etc. are not edible. Not to mention the lights not working. I have been stockpiling candles and matches for years.
What will happen to all of us when (not if) that happens? We will read and re-read old books. We won't be able to walk around town due to curfews. We will walk up and down our floors. If the electricity affects our showers, we'd better have some water on hand for sponge baths. No cooking because the electricity powers my gas stove. No electricity means no hot plates. If you are stranded on an island somewhere in the West Indies, you will have to be returned to the US or whichever country you're from. To what? Better have relatives to move in with.
What I am trying to say is, the time for divisiveness and pettiness is in the past. This is not a user friendly site. Like cliques in high school, the girls with the biggest hair and best cigarettes are the favorites. The girls with Clearasil on their chins and greasy hair...well, they can post here, too.
If I do not return one day (no cheering, please) you will know my power is gone. No Internet.
That said, I have enjoyed reading and interacting with the posters here a lot. A lot of the old names are long gone now. A few remain. I wish all of you nothing but happiness, creativity, and great health. Once the Grid does down, that's it for us. So let's use this very precious time to stick it to men and women we don't know and will never meet but be kind to each other. I am just as guilty as anyone else here of having been a total b---- over the years. I admit it. Sorry I did it. I apologize.
So, the day I don't post you know NYC is toast! Thanks, Enty, whoever you are, for a wild ride. Stay well. Hope to see you tomorrow.

ReplyDelete@Fiona: Did I miss something? Are you the only resident left in NY? Are Hunter and the rest of us in NY living in an alternate reality?
