This female A+ list singer is footing the bill not only for the lawyers but also all the damages that this A- list singer has been ordered to pay. It would bankrupt the A- list singer to have to pay.
She explains, “And I want to stay out of it because I know them both and I empathize with both of them and obviously it’s a horrible situation for both of them. And the only two people that know what really went on are those two people."
She points out she never defended Luke in the press because she feared she would be further criticized and attacked.
Perry explains, “Just that I would be attacked, I would be the one woman that is against women and I’m not against women, but I believe in innocent until proven guilty and I believe in justice.”
The "Roar" singer said she feared if she did work with Luke, it would affect her music sales and a protest and smear campaign would be launched against her.
Does anyone else see the similarities between Kesha and Swifty? Kesha wanted out of her contract because she says Dr. Luke is a horrible human being. Taylor feels she should not be bound by her original Big Machine contract because she says Scooter Braun is a horrible human being. Maybe Dr. Luke is a POS. Maybe Scooter is an a-hole, yet I can't ignore these revelations came at a time when contacts were being called into question.
@Louise - Perry said in response to the texts that Dr. Luke never raped her. That's at the center of the court case, now that all of Kesha's issues have been thrown out of court.
Kesha told Lady Gaga by text message that Dr. Luke raped Katy Perry and he sued her for defamation because of it. If Katy has said “yes, he did rape me,” then he wouldn’t have a case because you can’t defame someone with the truth.
Kesha is not A-... More like B.. Anyone trashing perry is losing their minds. If she said nothing happened leave her alone.. And if it did and she doesn't want to discuss it it's her decision. Sorry for kesha but she acted wrongly, instead of talking to Gaga, she should have talked directly to Perry.

Swift and Kesha, say what you will but she helps other damaged females of this industry.
ReplyDeleteWhat's the alternative? To make pretty girls abide by contract law?
ReplyDeleteThat's unthinkable!
That's what friends are for!
ReplyDeleteI'm not so sure that proves Katy Perry is defending Dr. Luke, sounds more like she's trying to sidestep the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteJ - Yup, that slavery contract is legal in Alabama circa 1840 guess you'll just have to agree to it.
ReplyDelete@hunter, That's a good point, less defending and more enabling.
ReplyDeleteTaylor definitely has a loyal streak that's admirable.
ReplyDeleteIs it just me, or based on latest pics, should Dr Luke be played by William Mopather in the imaginary vh1 film?
Judge came down hard on Kesha.

Silly judge!
ReplyDeleteOh well!
ReplyDeleteIf K. Perry had corroborated the texts, would the judgement be different?
ReplyDeleteI feel bad for Ke$ha.

ReplyDelete@Moose - did Ke$ha text Perry saying she was raped or was Perry a witness? What was in the texts? TIA

ReplyDeleteIf spreading gossip in a private text message is now defamation, then everyone on this site is busted.
