It is a coincidence, but saw two nights ago Tenacious D in Paris. Jack Black is in full thick beard mode, with disheveled hair, and half the concert is played behind a semi-transparent screen. If there's a show where they wouldn't need any makeup person, it's this one.
@Brayson87 I think Jack Black would actually be a better choice for Avenue 5 but alas, it is Josh Gad desperately trying to do his best Jack Black impersonation.
@sandy. agreed. JB is B-. he couldn't even pull off an English accent in dewey cox. and what has he ever been funny in, that dumb ass movie he kept spinning around in, I forget the name.
@PhillyWilly Jack Black's changing accent from line to line in Walk Hard WAS the joke. That was a comment on how they use stunt casting in musical biopics, with people who actually look and sound very little like their real life counterparts, hence the need to identify them with stuff such as "What are you thinking, John Lennon from The Beatles?
