Today's Blind Items - Matricide

She might not have pulled a trigger or smothered her mom with a pillow, but this former A list tweener actress sure didn't do anything to help her mom and many in the family believe the tweener's mom died because of the actions of the tweener actress. In the past, I discussed the relationship between the tweener and her mother, but things have taken a crazy turn even for this former tweener.

Our actress who is probably B- list as an adult has now publicly embraced with joy the death of her mother. Considering that family members believe so strongly that the stress caused by the actress led to an early death of the mother, this is just wrong.

Back when she was doing all her young adult shenanigans behind the scenes of her show, her mother developed cancer. For three years she fought it, not getting better but not worse either. During this time the family was optimistic she would recover.

This was the same time frame when our actress was dating the much older married guy who worked on the show and trying to hide it from the world and her parents.  Her wild behavior was causing so much stress to her mother she was warned multiple times it could affect her fight with the cancer, but she either didn't care or believe it.

Then came the dreaded news. Her mother was so stressed out by her daughter's behavior that her chemo treatments were failing. At first our actress refused to believe it, then reluctantly she broke up with the married man only to run back to him shortly later. It was when she got back together with the man that the couple tried to impersonate the mother of the actress with a fake Twitter account. That was the very stunt that snapped her mother's health and started her downward decent.

Just a few months later, the mom was dead. It wasn't even the cancer that killed her, it was heart failure caused by the experimental drug treatment desperately being tried as a last option. Family members remain convinced that the stress caused by the actress led to the failure of chemo which led to the only chance of recovery - the experimental drug treatment that ultimately led to her death.

  1. Not McCurdy-she supported her mom

  2. Jeannette McCurdy?

  3. You can't blame a daughter for a mother's cancer, jeez science. Can't blame a daughter for an experimental drug treatment, once again, science.

  4. Debra McCurdy died in 2013 of cancer

  5. This blind is just plain cruel. If rebellious teens caused terminal cancer, the population would be cut by half.

  6. That's one bitter betty with an axe to grind sending in this blind. It's usually not the cancer that kills you in the end it's the treatment. Trying to pin it on the daughter is a bit much.

  7. McCurdy is messed up, but this is BS

  9. This blind is ridiculous. The bad behavior didn't cause cancer or death, and the person who sent this in has an axe to grind. The actress probably didn't treat her Mother well during her illness. That could be a blind. But considering what most child stars are put through because of the parents, intentional or not, there is always going to be friction between them.

  10. imagine Enty writing this blind about a son's antics wreaking such havoc on his dad's health that it kills him. Would literally never happen. Man Enty, you are one effed up SOB.

  11. As a cancer survivour I have to say I'm uncomfortable with this blind. It's pretty much a bad lottery ticket.

    1. Hey congratulations on your recovery! More health to you !!
      Love !!!

  12. Folks, please read the blind. It says right there in the first line she didn't pull the trigger.

Stress can wreak all kinds of havoc on a person's health, especially when the source is something happening to your child. Been there and bought the t-shirt.

I feel very sorry for this person's mother, whoever she was.

    1. Everyone is responsible for managing their own stress. No punk-ass kid would stress me out if I was battling the big C. Blind is bs.

  13. McCurdy...IDK why any of you are uncomfortable with it...lets be honest, if your mom leaves you on a show even after your producer fires your tutor for raping you when your 15 or 16 or god knows how old (came out when she was 17)...then that same producer becomes ur boyfriend...hello? Now we have to cry foul if that girl didn’t feel protected by her mom? Stop. To think I beat myself up half the day for forgetting to remove the crust from my sons lunch sandwich i packed. No idea how these parents still let their kids go solo in these known pedophile industries. She didn’t put the pillow over her moms face...no, but her mom put one over hers as old man raped her. I have no empathy except for her as a child then and a struggling adult now.

  14. Stress weakens the immune system so there is less and less to fight the cancer. Oddly enough, chemo also weakens the immune system. BUT...it keeps the money rolling in.

  15. Blind is screaming Jeanette, but Enty seemed to have forgotten the whole bulimia story that Jeanette wrote saying her mom was to blame. Sounds like their relationship wasn’t all unicorns and rainbows

  16. Enty wants clicks. He wrote to me in an email he doesn’t even read the comments.

  17. @Neil, Stress does not cause cancer. Stress does not cause experimental drug treatments. As proof I would point to the majority of parents of teenagers that do not have cancer or experimental drug treatments.

Did Enty consider that maybe the mother took Tylenol? I read recently that California is considering declaring it a carcinogen.

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2020/01/21/tylenol-cancer-california-acetaminophen-warning/4537047002/

Oh CA is always the gift that keeps on giving. 😅

  18. I'm disgusted at this blind, but proud to see this community call it out for the garbage it is.

  19. @Brayson I never said it did cause cancer. What it can do, however, is to weaken the body system to a point where something can develop. Stress facilitates rather than outright causes, a point the blind makes in the opening sentence.

As to the majority of parents, well, it's possible that majority didn't have to cope with this level of stress, and it's also possible this particular mother had a lower-than-average stress threshold. We don't know enough.

I'm not saying the blind is real or not, just saying that 'stress doesn't cause cancer' isn't really the point.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Chemo does not mean recovery if the cancer is advanced like hers. It usually just buys time by causing remission, if it's successful at all.

    ReplyDelete
  21. @Neil, Are you sweating? You must be getting quite the workout with all those mental gymnastics to make the blind seem right.
Let's see, okay the title is "Matricide" but we'll ignore that for now. The first sentence says the daughter "might not" have pulled a trigger or used a pillow but family members believe the mother died because of her actions. That's more like manslaughter vs murder. Also "might not" isn't very strong, "may not" would have been more neutral. Like I "might not" be teasing you right now.

Stress facilitates, really, so you're saying that stress is like the lube of illness, it's K-Y Jelly for cancer or whatever, add a little stress and the cancer goes deeper? Well you know what's really stressful? Having cancer. It's no walk in the park, probably a little more stressful than having a rebellious daughter.

  22. Any parent who let their daughter onto the set of those Nick and Disney shows with the human flotsam and jetsam they spit out wasn't a parent to begin with. More of a pimp. If knowing your kid was being raped and passed around by middle-aged men didn't stress one out, what would?

  26. Enty not reading the comments would be the funniest stuff he has posted in years.
Of course, he reads the comments. Not all the comments, but he definitely wants to find out what blind item turns out to be hit and get a load of comments, and what's the take of the main fixtures here, as they offer a good idea of what the subscribers to the podcast would like to hear.

Have you ever read a piece posted here and realized that it validated all your worst fears about people in the entertainment industry? That's because it's actually quite easy to guess what your thoughts on these people are. He just has to rephrase them into a story for you to be extremely satisfied.

  27. McCurdy's mom was ill for a long time. Another reason this is BS

    ReplyDelete
  28. If only cancer could be that discriminating.
I lost two sisters to cancer, and I distinctly remember the first sister's doctor telling us that if she developed any other health problems, it would be a direct result of the radiation and chemo she went through.
Cancer saps all of it's hosts of energy and strength. It just worked quicker in this case.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Well someone is reading the comments because even innocuous comments which become arguments with Angela, Derek et al have been deleted.

In any case - this is a sick blind.
The stress may not have been good for the mom....but chemo is a killer. You can die of the cancer or die of the cure....only if you pick chemo, you may be miserable the whole time.

    ReplyDelete
  30. This is not matricide. She may have contributed to her mother's emotional distress while undergoing cancer treatment, but you really can't measure cause and effect. The cancer killed her. Her high street over her kid didn't help.

    ReplyDelete
  31. @Brayson No, I wasn't really trying to compare stress and lube. Also, I'm not trying to make the blind seem right, I told you that.

I really don't want to argue with you. Or anyone. You're a many-times-a-day poster here while I post very infrequently. For the most part I enjoy your content.

We interpret this thing differently, shall we leave it there?

    Have a nice day.

  32. @Neil, You took an unpopular position, you kept defending it, plus you were insensitive to people who had lost family members. For all that you get my respect, I've been there before, come back anytime. No I'm not being sarcastic.

I just didn't want anyone reading this blind to think that their behavior had any effect on their loved ones' cancer or receiving an experimental treatment. That's not right, and it's not scientific.

  33. A stage mom whelps an asshole and then dies from the assholism. Shocking! McGugly is one of those tragedies of a pair of diamond bozos going to waste because of the sheep's ass face that went with them. That's the real sad generator here.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Maybe the Mother's guilt about what she put her daughter through accelerated the cancer or hampered the treatment.
The family wants to blame someone, why not blame the poor daughter who probably doesn't want to share her earnings with the bitchy fam?

    ReplyDelete
  35. And LOLOLOL Substance D! She DOES have a sheep’s ass face!

  36. Where were the parents when this daughter was being raised to be such an allegedly heartless vindictive show biz trollup?! Sometimes you reap what you sow.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I’ve lost family to cancer too. Stress can contribute to any sick person’s demise. I personally believe negative emotions can “feed” tumors, whether benign or cancerous.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Haven’t we heard this story often enough to consider there might be a history of bad blood caused, in part, by shoddy parental involvement in ttye girl’s career history? The family may have no idea.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Sure sounds like Jeannette McCurdy. She was on I Carly and her mother died of cancer and now she literally has a show called "I am glad my mothers dead" She advertises it all over her instagram

    ReplyDelete
  40. I’m not into blaming anyone for anyone’s death ever, but it is definitely not mental jumping jacks to assume stress is a killer. How chronic stress causes cancer is too easy of a google search. Since we’re all out. there. tonight, Louise hay is not scientific but she’s got some interesting theories on emotional root cause of cancer- physical manifestations of the emotions. I have to recommend the Nicole lepera @holisticpsychologist on ig as well for more emotional root of physical responses.

I could always tell JM had a terrible attitude on the show, especially compared to Miranda cosgrove- having a narc mom will to do that to people. I hope she finds healing.

  41. But Matricide... This was not. What an odd post Enty

    ReplyDelete
  42. And Mccurdy has no career to speak of. Chemo weakens the heart, causes pneumonia and vomiting stresses the body. Hopefully she was taking lots of meds and not very much aware. Best cancer treatment is at City of Hope in Pasadena. Teens are just horrible people imo.

  43. Good to see that Thomas Markle is making money by writing blinds for this site.

WTF hysterical family member/bad science crap is this? Stop stressing yourself to the point of a nervous breakdown because your daughter has a boyfriend. This reminds me of my Gran who thought that joss/incense sticks were rolled up heroin. She ran around telling everybody that I was a drug addict - at it all day - no shame for her poor gran. After much explanation that it wasn't drugs, it was a cheap way to make my house smell nice, she never corrected that gossip.

Sometimes it's impossible to take people with a martyr + bitching about nothing complex seriously.

  44. Enty reads comments or has someone report back. Many times a comment made can influence future blinds. I have seen a couple of my own comments "inspire" blinds. Noticed when a wrong guess is repeated, the wrong guess is a new blind. Clearly, he has been influenced by popular guesses, political leanings, whether certain beliefs about certain people are fed into. And I and others have called this out numerous times.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Without any knowledge of the relationship between mother and daughter, this seems like a crappy blind to post. We do not know what went on in the past between them... based on our collective knowledge of how most Hollywood parents treat their children and turn a blind eye to their abuse, I would withhold judgement on this actress.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Damn, E. This is kinda crazy.
I will say extreme stressors make it HARDER to heal, but past that, nope
