Apparently though, she was ticked off because it made it seem as if her acting isn't good and her husband had to call in favors or use his position to get her a role.

For a while they were coordinating attacks on Twitter for people who dared say bad things about MM. They got Yankee Wally and Skippy suspended and went after other people. These are not bright girls. They would self congratulate on Twitter when someone got suspended. So I quietly started reporting those congratulatory posts for bullying/harassment and got several suspended. I think now they are coordinating off site at the website they established. For a while they were trying to shut down Youtube accounts but weren't very successful.

ReplyDeleteShe is an okay actress, not terrible, but not great. I wouldn’t have thought her voice or tone was particularly suited to wildlife documentaries, but she may be okay. Harry’s embarrassing video harassing the Disney chap to get her the job is front page news in the DM. I am sure you would have preferred people think that Disney approached her. I actually feel a bit sorry for MM even though she keeps compounding her problems, All people marrying into the royal family get a really hard time in the tabloids, not just her. Kate, Camilla and even Sophie had a really difficult time. It was relentless for Fergie and Diana. There is a very short honeymoon period and then the public and media will start picking away at anything where a royal is perceived as not measuring up. It must have been difficult while MM was probably feeling more vulnerable during the pregnancy and then with a new baby. She probably thought she would be partly coddled like a Hollywood superstar and part adored which would let her get away without adhering to royal protocols. After the hypocrisy of telling the British public how to live their lives while she was taking private jets and spending close to £1m in one year of Taxpayer and Duchy of Cornwall money on her wardrobe and jets they should have tightened their belts. When many people in the UK struggle to pay the rent or mortgage, the Sussexes saying Kensington Palace was no longer acceptable, to spend £2.4m of taxpayers’ money on Frogmore Cottage was very unwise. They may have been able to turn it all around with Archie, but keeping so many details about a royal baby’s birth secret was the final straw for many people. If MM had listened to palace aides, she would have avoided so much of that, especially the private jet baby shower and Wimbledon seating fiascos. As a woman in her late thirties used to having her own way it must have been hard for her to suddenly be strongly advised what to do and criticised when she got it wrong, but the Palace would have had it explained before her marriage what royal life would entail and with privilege comes responsibility. Saying she didn’t know is disingenuous. Harry was very close to William and also Kate, and it is a shame MM didn’t use them as allies, but instead drove a wedge between the relationship. The public would have forgiven a lot if they seemed to forge a close bond with photos of the four together, much more so than guest editing Vogue and hugging people in soup kitchens. Harry’s long standing, friends, army comrades and even long standing aides and courtiers were also abandoned or resigned. These were the people that kept Harry balanced. He is a bit of a wild card otherwise.MM comes across as the much stronger one in the marriage and somewhat manipulative, but Harry is shares a lot of the responsibility for the situation they found themselves in. He has been a royal since birth, she married a royal less than two years ago. Whatever happens, I hope they can get their lives on track and be happy, but I’m not sure it will make either of them happy in the long term, particularly Harry.

Delete@ JL. I’m on the fence re the pregnancy, veering towards her being pregnant, because she carried a lot of weight after Archie’s arrival. I think she is too vain to carry the weight that long, Wearing maternity clothes at Eugenie’s wedding was odd so early in the pregnancy but MM has a habit of timing things to make sure she gets the headlines. Whether she was pregnant herself or was keeping the pretence of pregnancy by wearing a fake bump while maintaining a secret surrogate, it would have been a stressful time. The secrecy around the birth itself did make me wonder if they used a surrogate. I, like most Brits, wouldn’t be too bothered either way as long as they were honest about it.

Being that you were believing she was pregnant, everything you wrote makes me and everyone else believe she wasn't. I think the weight gain was from medication, psych meds or prednisone, plus some padding. The gravity of the charade finally got to them when an actual baby was born. The baby must have been born earlier,otherwise, no one can explain how he exceeds all age markers, holding his head erect, crawling,teething, you name it. It can't all be coincidence. And the early announcement,to upstage a wedding,and now ruining a birthday. Those of us with mentally ill family members know that too well. We just pray that not much damage is done.

And the money isn't that good for the UK role. Financially independent indeed! Did you see the DM comments by her former business partner? So much lovely, lovely cash on the sidelines! What also jumps out at me is the crew she's thrown in with. The Clintons et al. She's made a big bet that the current elites are going to stay on top long enough for her and Harry to have a chair at that table. Another risk for her is her new buddies throw her under the bus the minute she becomes a liability. But I sort of get it. She didn't want the deal she was offered by the UK so took a better one.
