Theatrics were fine for the Grammy performance, but next week those are not allowed. Apparently there has not been a good enough take for the backing track yet for next week which has organizers a little worried for this A-/B+ list singer.
Right? The average football fan really has no clue who she is, and if they did know they'd be rolling their eyes at the nonsense AND the poor quality music.
@E This rapid phasing out of movie and music stars that are still alive and somewhat young by the zoomers is quite concerning. Hollywood is getting systematically destroyed by greed already and drugs, this is adding fuel to a fire not usually being talked about. Won't be much of an status town left at this pace. The new A+ listers aren't really A+ in my eyes (ex: The Rock, kevin hart) and it dosen't seem like they're going to last as long as a Angelina Jolie or a Brad Pitt and due to the caliber of their work, don't really deserve the stamp. Just wanted to put that out there. Apologies about the paragraph.
thats a good point tickle.. i mean cher diana ross etc are still going strong decades into careers and these new kids cant last 5 years... def rapid cycle through
@tickle, It's because these geezers need to retire and make room for the new blood. Plastic surgery, medication and special effects have expanded their career spans, but come on, it's stagnation.
It's true, I can only watch most sports with alcohol. I think that's true for a lot of people if they weren't in denial. "Oh it's so fun!" "No drinking is fun, this is just the excuse to drink."
lavato. sub par last night. she is milking the comeback a bit much. sing or don't sing. stop the theatrics. lots of other singers out there who would donate a body part for next week's gig, and who have no baggage.
But her song last night was such bullshit. Nobody's listing, nobody cares, blah blah blah. Whatever, you have no shortage of people around you trying to help you out. It does a disservice to those who really *don't* have the support and money and resources that she does. Shut the fuck up.
@Brayson87 Anybody that's new and out of this generation tickle your fancy when it comes to staying power? Cause to me, 85% look like flash in the pan pop flops. The expedition of in and out stardom will kill the industry eventually. Just saying.
ITA 💯. Just last year she overdosed, but she was able to attend the Grammys. Hopefully she stays sober. She started off rough but when she redid her dog she did a great job. Better than thar Cabbleo, IMO
@tickle, Musically I could see Billie Eilish having staying power. She already had a solid fan base, she's young and she's flexible with her creativity. Is she going to be the next Madonna, who knows, probably not. But if Gwen Stefani and xtina can hang around then she can too. Otherwise it's generally pop music garbage out there, which is fine, we've seen these waves before. The reactions and rebellions against it are almost worth the wait. Plus longevity is overrated. Some of the most influential musicians did not have long lifespans.
As for acting, there are some, but the studios don't want to take big risks anymore with casting, especially since their product is such sh!t. Movie making is a sausage factory nowadays, it's probably why the more talented and creative people have moved to tv and streaming.
Was not impressed with Demi sorry... If that was her comeback, well... I guess I get the emotional approval but otherwise... Adele would have done all that better.
This is Demi who apparently pulled it off last night after a dramatic "start over". Yeah you can't pull that one with The Star Spangled Banner. I really wish she would cancel. I really wish she would quit.
she recorded the song 4 DAYS BEFORE she ODed. it’s not a new recording with new lyrics. she has help now. & Demi’s only ever had 2 singles about her mental issues and drug abuse. Any other time she speaks about it she’s bringing positive awareness. Last night was her first performance in 2 years. also — they restarted the song because she was crying. the standing o was deserved. the things y’all spew about shit y’all don’t even care to learn about is incredibly gross
This is so pathetic. Lovato is a corporation. All of the scabs on her payroll won't let Lovato fade away. It is EXACTLY what was done to Spears.... Who is now gone-- and replaced by a bad double. What a sick, greedy, disgusting industry.
J Lo at the Superbowl...?
ReplyDeleteDemi Lovato, they should know she's too broken to perform.
ReplyDeleteDemi Lovato
ReplyDeleteDemi singing the star spangled banner?
ReplyDeleteThen let her stay home. It's not like anyone over the age of 14 will know who she is anyways..
ReplyDeleteRight?

ReplyDeleteMost likely Demi, JLo doesn't need worry as long as Ashanti is kicking.
ReplyDeleteDemi...emotional during performance last night.
ReplyDeleteShe sounded fantastic last night and clearly there was no backing track for that.

ReplyDeleteWish Marvin Gaye could sing it at the super bowl.💕
ReplyDeletePeople who watch the Super Bowl do not care about tweener singers, whether they be current stars or has-beens
ReplyDeleteHalftime is for blunts and shots.
ReplyDelete@Megley that's for the whole long ass boring game. Blunts and shots
