Blind Items Revealed #2

December 19, 2019

Once again, this permanent A list singer/diva is trying to pretend she wrote her biggest hit. She got a co-writing credit, but the idea and most of the work was done by another. The same person who wrote all her biggest hits. It is only because of who her significant other was at the time that she got co-writing credits of many of them. Meanwhile, she doesn't correct any of the impressions of her fans who then trash not only the writer but his family too. The singer could put a stop to it, but enjoys watching.

Mariah Carey/Walter Afanasieff (All I Want For Christmas)

  1. Not shocked. I always found it highly unbelievable that a bloated, ditzy lush like Mariah was capable of writing music. She's always seemed too preoccupied with admiring her reflection or refilling her champagne glass to do anything productive.

  2. Well hopefully Walter has been laughing all the way to the bank. I always thought Mariah’s song origin story sounded fake.
Tommy Motola... what ever happened to that guy?

  3. Who cares. Great song.

  4. Tommy Mottola married a Latin singer whose looks aren't dissimilar to Mariah's. He also apparently banged Jennifer Lopez in the late 90s/early 00s, and was responsible for her recording contract and career. Mariah HATES JLo for this reason. Mottola DEFINITELY has a "type".

    1. Thalia looks nothing like Mariah. IMO. Never listened to her music but know her from TV.

    2. @SD Auntie - Thalia definitely has been styled very similarly to Mariah in the past. Mottola has a weak spot for women with brown eyes, honey-golden skintones, and honey-highlighted hair to match. You're telling me you can't see these glaring similarities with Mariah, JLo and Thalia? All three have been guided (and bedded) by Mottola. These women don't look the exact same, but the similarities in their marketed appearances are there. This was my point.

  5. All I want for Christmas is to never ever see another photo of her in jeans.

She looks ready to be led over the Alps by Hannibal.

  6. I hope Mottola really is behind the whole Stella thing that keeps digging into Mariah's side.

  7. After 25 years this song is the #1 song on the Billboard chart this week, first time ever. So someone is making $$$ on it right now.

  8. My hubby's name is Walter. I love that name! Our son is named Wyatt.

  9. So many artists do this. All they have to do is change a couple of words and they get a writing credit.

  10. Mooriah made $2 million off of Spotify this year for that song.

  11. But wait, she has always written songs not just this one. And yes, she uses cowriters and they do get credit. It is HIGHpocrisy to make this seem like virtually every big time songwriter singer has used many cowriters. I kinda get where he comes from but give it a rest. Why isn't he complaining that Celine doesn't constantly talk about him on My Heart Will Go On.
I know a few in her inner circle and the falling out between them was partially orchestrated by Sony to avoid another Ben Marguiles problem (he cowrote half the first album and they had to buy the entire demo that he produced for Mariah---who only maintained her writing credit). Afanasieff was already an established cowriter and producer. It's part of his gift. But to keep moaning that he cowrote this hit when there are other that are equally as successful...is rich.

  12. Thalia was a telenovela superstar in South America from a very young age, way before meeting Tommy. Being in the entertainment business is the same anywhere you're climbing, she had to have slept with someone.
