I told you several weeks ago that all the buzz for that latest reincarnation of the book turned movie was all self generated buzz. Two big award nomination days and one lonely acting nomination out there and that is only because she makes a point to hit up every event they have during the year, is a very good actress, and they think she was born overseas.

Always liked her, she just often gets cursed with bad movies. Her agent must suck, or maybe she doesn't.

DeleteIt takes some colossal balls to "correct" a classic book, set it in the same period it was written in, and bring it up to modern mores.

ReplyDeleteSaw her as jean grey in the marvel movie. She was rather wooden and boring, of course the jean grey character is a boring character so theres not alot to work with unless you’re a marginally good actress. Jlaw was also awful in the movie, wooden and boring.

DeleteHer parents are Irish and couldn't make a go of it in NYC, so moved back when she was 3, so she was raised there.

Oh give me a break, moving there at three is almost exactly the same as "being born" there. Who gives a shit about these tiny details. Ireland would be more her home than the US.
