The sister of this Oscar winning actress from the peak of the studio system days had an estranged sister who would sell stories and photos every month to a gossip magazine to make her sister look bad. It continued until the actress finally caved and paid her sister a monthly sum for the rest of her life. It isn't like the actress wasn't ripe for exploitation. There was the suicide attempt and the bedroom fight with another actress and the domestic violence against her first husband.
