This deceased actor suffered a serious physical impairment but despite that starred as an iconic instantly recognizable TV character who was smarter than he looked.
In real life, despite his marriage(s) and his impairment, the actor was an unrepentant skirt chaser and tried to pick up every woman he met. This included approaching women in public, in bus stations, restaurants, walking down the street. One unusual ploy he had was to find if there were any art classes in the area employing nude female models. He would then enroll in the class and attempt to pick up the model.

This guy really needed Tinder.
ReplyDeleteIs that what kids are call it these days....
Deletethe models in my art classes were old and nasty.
ReplyDeleteIs that why he didn't make into the CIA?
ReplyDeleteHow did the public not know about this while he was alive?
ReplyDeleteHe was a great actor.Columbo is one of the great accomplishments of American tv
ReplyDeleteAmen!
DeleteReally?? Not enough star fuckers in LA he needed to sign up for art classes?? Most cocktail lounges in hollywood would be more fruitful. He was a rich celeb on tv and movies and had a certain charm- hard to believe he needed that to score.
ReplyDeleteThis maybe explains why Suzanne Pleshette never spoke to him again after guesting on Columbo many years ago. I still love Falk and Columbo is still one of the best shows that ever aired.
ReplyDeleteMost models in art schools are unattractive, and often lesbian. They are there to make a few bucks.
ReplyDeleteIs that why Sharese Danae left him to wander until it became publicly newsworthy?
@texasrose Read this in PFs wiki:
ReplyDeleteFalk was an accomplished artist, and in October 2006 he had an exhibition of his artwork at the Butler Institute of American Art.[46] He took classes at the Art Students League of New York for many years.[47][48]
Pleshette has specific reasons for being mad at Talk: https://www.dialogues.org/10/02/2012/suzanne-pleshette-on-columbo-and-peter-falk-emmytvlegends-org/1483216075
ReplyDelete@notagoodscreenname- Thanks. I guess I'm not doubting he was an artist or took classes but doubt that he had to or did it just to pick up women. That being said if he was an artist and took these classes he probably did hit on models (or other art students for that matter.) I'm sure he could get tail without working that hard.
