@T.W. 💕Loved him. Such a consummate New Yorker. His films earmarked my life in some ways...Once Around was one of my favorites of all time. What a small, quiet beautiful film. His performance... Gena Rowland’s -ah perfect. “Will ya shit the god damn window my balls are freezing off!”
One of my favorite movies is 2 Days in the Valley with Danny Aiello. The actors, most of whom were not A or even A- list at the time but later moved on to become so, were at their best. It's a funny, ironic and sentimental movie with a great ensemble cast. Danny Aiello was great in this.
Brayson, I saw it again about 2 years ago and it occurred to me at the time that it was a little dated. But I still really appreciated how well it worked which I attributed to the actors and casting.

I’m old.... but he was in “ragtime” playing this force of nature police chief. It was intimidating as hell. His voice! He knew how to be menacing.
DeleteMy bad. It was “once upon a time in america”
DeleteGame Changer Award at Billboard’s Women in Music ceremony
ReplyDeleteThat's how it works you get awards if you show up and play.
ReplyDeleteShut*
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion the wrong people are dying.
ReplyDelete@T.W., Don't worry, everyone is dying, it's just the order that may be unsatisfactory.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of the award, sounds cool?
ReplyDelete@Derp that part he played in Once Upon a Time in America was just great
ReplyDeleteAlso he was the guy who attempted to strangle Frankie Five Angels is Godfather 2. "Michael Corleone says hello!"
@Brayson87, Thank you for the truth.

ReplyDelete+1 Robin, That was a great movie. I haven't seen it in a while though, do you think it has aged well?

ReplyDeleteWasn't this blind about a rapper?
ReplyDeleteAwww, any time I see Do The Right Thing, I get mad cravings for a good "pizza pie". Danny was a gem.
ReplyDeleteRobin, That sounds like what I thought. I think I still have the DVD somewhere, I should give it a watch.
ReplyDeleteShe's very... unlikable, isn't she?
