Blind Item #1

The disgraced producer is really close to making those pesky criminal charges go away too. It is going to take another couple of checks, but then he will be free and able to say that everyone lied. Scum.

  21. @J, F*cking for jobs should never be an option, period. If you post a job there shouldn't be an asterisk saying "Oral skills preferred."
What if male professional athletes had to give up their a$$holes to dirty old men to get on teams? Would you still then say the accusers didn't have to work in sports, they could be lawyers or chefs or paperboys or whatever other hypothetical jobs?

    1. My guess is yeah, he would. He's that dense.

    2. The largest and toughest athletes in the world, professional wrestlers, were allegedly subjected to such abuse by promoters and bookers over the years. Aside from the WWF's documented ring boy scandal, certain wrestlers jobs or pushes (how they were portrayed in storylines) was allegedly influenced by whether or not they allowed Pat Patterson to fellate them. Poor Brooklyn Brawler was said to have been seen having his pooper plundered through a motel window. In later years, Brickhouse Brown spoke of regret for not letting Pat play with the BBC. I believe it was Ric Flair who is said to have told Brick something like "200grand a year and all you had to do is let him suck your dick? That would have been the most expensive blowjob in history."

Going back further, the pioneer of televised wrestling, James Barnett, allegedly required sexual favors from Tommy Rich, in exchange for getting Harley Race to drop the NWA World's Heavyweight title (the most prestigous at the time) to him, for a short run.

Contrary to popular belief, i dont think Roddy Piper was victimized by Patterson. My belief from reading between the lines of some interviews is Roddy had been victimized prior to meeting Pat, and the homophobia that created soured Roddy and Pat's professional relationship from the get go.

In fake sports like the NFL or NBA, it is usually star players who demand office or end of the bench gigs for their down low buddies.

    ReplyDelete
  24. The skill of male athletes can be objectively measured, to some extent.

If twink guys trade sex for roles in Keving Spacey projects it's the same thing.

You're telling me some bombshell gal goes to Hollywood to be a star, does some commercials, and reads the room to know if she sleeps with so-and-so there's a good chance she'll get a huge role, lots of money, magazine covers, and so on... it's the same thing as some poor lady working at a gas station with a lecher boss who pinches her ass every time he sees her.

It's not the same thing. You go for the "big time" and bend the rules... whether it's being a lying politician, an insider-trading financier, or a couching actress/actor... what happens next is your problem, not mine.

There are plenty of people who truly suffer, who are truly mistreated, who are truly abused, sexually and otherwise in this world. Rose McGowan, who once looked like a Goddess and felt that meant the whole world was owed to her... I don't give a shit what happens to her entitled ass.

  25. I'm fine with outlawing fucking for jobs, by the way. But in these cases both parties should be locked up. Jail Harvey, jail pig Asia Argento. Jail Willie Brown, Jail Kamala.

It's damn good to be rich, male and white. Ahhh, the sweet life. Beause even today and tomorrow, there are young firm skinny actresses that are willing to bend over backwards to get that big break.

    ReplyDelete
  28. It's a good thing to be a young firm skinny beautiful woman too. Better than those ordinary-looking people who have to do gross jobs like entering medical records or... yuck, I can't even go on!

    ReplyDelete
  29. @J,
Oh please, there's plenty of dogsh!t athletes who get nice contracts, bet they could get even nicer ones if they knew how to work the balls.

Otherwise sounds good to me, I can get onboard with locking up both the employers and the applicants/employees who f*ck for jobs. It puts every other applicant with even an ounce of integrity at a disadvantage. And talk about gender traitors, how are women ever going to achieve equality and respect when they're constantly undermined by soulless whore competitors ready to fulfill every pig's stereotype of what a woman's place is?

    ReplyDelete
  30. @Unknown, It's just damn good to be rich, period. One's economic class is far more important than one's gender or race. Class warfare is the real struggle, the elephant in the room that the media doesn't like to talk about.

And J is right, there was a study that showed that the more attractive a women is, the more likely she is to attend college. And that wasn't a study of admissions or anything, that was a study of how willing the woman's parents were to pay for her tuition. Human beings are scumbags, and being attractive is almost always an advantage.

There's a funny thing too where the more attractive you are, the more intelligent people think you are. No logic whatsoever, you look good so you must have a good brain.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Brayson, it's a bribe. If I solicit bribes, I'm a criminal. If I offer bribes, or pay bribes, I'm a criminal.

Asia Argento, Harvey's "girlfriend" for FIVE YEARS after being "raped" is not a victim. And it absolutely dilutes the potential for taking real cases seriously to force people to pretend she is.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Someone please kick out the walker and let everyone see he is faking it for sympathy. He is a scumbag. He will walk and go commit more crimes in the future.

  36. @J, If a potential employer wanted you to give him a naked massage and watch him take a shower, you refused, so in retaliation he badmouthed you to other potential employers, you'd think that was totally kosher? You wouldn't feel wronged at all?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Brayson, I've had a working career. I haven't stolen or cheated or bribed. I could have, but I didn't.

Trying again to be clear: if some lady is just trying to do her job at Gas-N-Go and she's getting molested by her boss, that boss should be fired and prosecuted for any laws broken. I'd love to see prisons full of rapists.

But Rose McGowan, somehow figuring out that wearing see-through dresses while on Marilyn Manson's arm isn't getting her the roles she wants, going to spend some hot tub time with Harvey, then cozying up with him at lots of parties afterward... fuck her.

You can tell people over and over and over again that Asia was raped before she became her rapist Harvey's girlfriend for five years (and before her, umm, unfortunate influence on Anthony Bourdain). And Rosie will believe you. So you have that going.

  40. @J, I understand what you're saying, but it wasn't just actresses and models, there were regular everyday female employees that Weinstein pulled the same sh!t on. The man was, and probably still is, out of control.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I don't know their names, Brayson, these everyday females. Do you?

And I don't count Hollywood agents as everyday people, but rather full participants in the machine, for better or worse.

I know the names of Asia and Rose, though. They claimed to lead the movement, and their claims were bogus. From that I infer most claims were. Unfortunate maybe, but blame those frauds for confusing the message through their greed and desperation for attention.

Where's Boo? I'm eager for some sophisticated and contemplative rebuttal.

    https://www.bbc.com/news/av/uk-41579560/harvey-weinstein-left-room-and-came-back-naked

    ReplyDelete
  46. Joking aside, if poor Lisa was just trying to do her filing and pay the rent on her little studio apartment, and Harvey kept chasing her and asking her for a kiss, that would be completely inappropriate bullshit. She should be able to sue him and get lots of money in compensation for abuse and subsequent emotional stress.

I would have no problem with that; I'd think it was great.

HOWEVER, since Rose and Asia have made obvious bullshit claims regarding Harvey, and his name is in the news all the time, and there's a gravy train to jump onto, I can't help but be skeptical about Lisa and this horrible mentioning of a massage.

Fucked up for sure, but don't blame me like shitforbrains Boo does. Blame the bullshitters.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Model Zoe Brock

So obviously she wasn't trying to expand her career.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Here's a good timeline for you lots of stuff:

    https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-41594672

    For instance:
Zelda Perkins, a British former assistant of Weinstein, tells the Financial Times she was paid £125,000 ($165,200) to keep quiet after accusing the movie mogul of sexual harassment. She said he asked her to give him massages and tried to pull her into bed, but she "was made to feel ashamed for disclosing his behaviour".

    ReplyDelete
  49. Didn't watch the video because the obvious bullshit claims by Rose and Asia make me skeptical. Saw the sensationalizing headline and shared my reaction.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Brayson, I like you a lot, so please don't waste your time finding those links for me. Asia says he raped her, and again, and then she was his girlfriend for five years. She also says she's the face of the movement. Case closed.

Harvey Weinstein: Ten women have now reported him to UK police

  55. Yeah, stunningly beautiful Harvard grads Mira Sorvino and Ashley Judd... they're more of the people life is most unfair to.

They only went to Harvey because they simply couldn't get jobs ANYWHERE else. No, starring as the female lead in "Mighty Aphrodite" was the ONLY POSSIBLE option Mira had.

    ReplyDelete
  56. When I think of poor Mira, Harvard degree in hand, famous actor father, terrifically beautiful looks... I just burst into tears.

All she wanted from Harvey was ONE CHANCE in life.

    ReplyDelete
  57. @J, You don't like or don't trust two or three or five of his accusers, and find fault with their stories. Far enough. That doesn't discount the other 40 or so accusers.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Rose and Asia sucked all the air out of the room, Brayson. I want there to be justice, I read the news, I follow stories, I get outraged.

However I don't have the bandwidth to keep going further and further down the list of Harvey accusers until I find someone who DIDN'T want to get famous or rich through their interactions with him, who DIDN'T indicate consensuality at some point, etc.

Again, don't like that, thank Rose and thank Asia.

And please say a prayer for Mira... if only life would be good to her one single time!

    ReplyDelete
  59. If Mira gets a few million out of Harvey's settlement that'll be a REAL VICTORY for millions of abused women working in call centers and meat-processing plants nationwide.

    ReplyDelete
  60. @J, Well if your mind's made up, it's made up. Seems like we mainly differ about the integrity of the accusers and what constitutes consent. I'm cool with agreeing to disagree, it's not like we're on a jury or something.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Brayson, you're great because you can disagree without having fits about it. I like chatting with you because you're smart and thoughtful. But no, we don't agree on everything, not by a long shot.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Thanks Do Tell!

    Thanks hunter!

I find it's difficult for a lot of straight men to empathize with women in those types of situations. They just don't comprehend the revulsion and how inappropriate it is. Seems like the best way to get them to relate is to say hey straight dude, imagine your male interviewer or boss is hitting you up for hardcore gay sex, like every day. And he's not a bottom, but he is a body builder so violence is not an option.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Spoken like a true misogynist.

    ReplyDelete
  64. @J, They say if two people are the same then one person is unnecessary. Seems like back in the day people could discuss things, even get into crazy arguments, but the goal was examining the issue, or just having fun. Somewhere along the way people got into groupthink where disagreeing is a personal insult. I've almost had to train people that it was okay to disagree, an echo chamber helps no one, different points of view can lead to clarity. I want to know when I'm wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Boo, more complexity. Open a window for us to peer into the labyrinthine workings of your mind.

Brayson, you left out that you want your bodybuilder boss to give you that eight-figure-salary job which thousands of other people are just as qualified to do as you are.

  69. Can we please stop saying “white male privilege” for Jews? If you’re going to use that bs line, at least get it right. This is Jewish privilege, whites have nothing to do with this whatsoever.

Nobody should have to sleep with anyone for a job. But then again, nobody is forcing you either. I’ve had jobs where men wanted to sleep with me, I told them no. Some of those jobs I had to quit because they acted like assholes about it, some they just accepted it and things were relatively cool. If you are forcibly raped, that is different to me than “feeling” like you “had” to sleep with someone for a job. And it does happen to men and boys. Remember Lou Pearlman, the *NSYNC guy and I think he did a few other boy bands? And the whole B2K thing, those guys had to sleep with other men to get famous. In something like Hollywood, where people consider being “rich and famous” to be desirable, the gatekeepers have enormous power and will misuse it. Someone will always spread it for fame, which is a choice imo. There’s not a job in the world I’d fuck to get or keep. If anyone else feels that they want the job enough to fuck for it, ok. But it’s kind of disingenuous to claim you were “forced” when you could have said no.
