Blind Items Revealed #2

About nine months ago, I told you the reality star with the lucrative side gig wanted to sell her big money maker because things she has introduced since have all pretty much bombed. Oh, and don't believe the price of the sale either and don't believe it all ends up in her pocket.

Kylie Jenner/Kylie Cosmetics
Doesn't she still have a ton of shares?
ReplyDeleteOh no, she owned the factories and everything, she is getting 600mill cash.
ReplyDelete*eyeroll*
Forbes will claim she made a $billion+
ReplyDeletethey called her a billionaire because she sold a billion dollars worth of her crap. However, she does have to pay for stuff, so even if she got 2/3 of that, she's still not a billionaire. I can imagine she would have a huge markup, so I am being generous about her company's worth.
ReplyDeleteYou think Forbes is just trying to get more clicks or sales, or is someone in the family sweetening the deal?
ReplyDeleteShe's a celebrity endroser, that is all, she doens't know sh*t about business. She allows a make up company to use her name & likeness.
ReplyDeleteThe Kardshians are big time mob money launderers. Kim’s jewelry heist? Money laundering. Kanye’s “ hutch”? Money laundering. There’s a bug Armenia mob in L.A. ask Devin Nunez about his “wine” biz.
ReplyDeleteKanye’s “church”.
ReplyDelete“Big Armenian mob. My typing sucks. Lol.
ReplyDeleteSo, kind of like some (announced) recent Las Vegas Resort sales.
ReplyDeleteThe PR is the Resort sells for hundreds of millions when in fact the previous occupying company is being changed out for a "new" Occupying company that takes over managing the resort.
The previous owner is still the same owner -- under a different ownership entity to prevent any back lash leasehold liability lawsuits.
PSST: No real money changed hands!
I posted the first time Enty posted this blind that the cosmetics trade magazine, Cosmetics Design, said that Coty was interested in buying a stake in Kylie Cosmetics for $600 million, the same exact price that was quoted in the WSJ three months later as how much Coty paid for a 51 percent stake in the company.
ReplyDeleteI also read a third party that specializes in social media influencers brought Coty, a German conglomerate, together with Kylie Cosmetics. Whether Kylie owns 100 percent of the company or not (she invented it), and how much money she gets, I haven't read anything about.
It took Oprah 30+ years to become worth a billion, and she had a million products out there with her name on it, plus the most successful talk show in history. Why is anyone trying to make us believe that Kylie Jenner did it in 2 or 3 years by selling lipstick?
ReplyDelete@Brian: Oprah only became a billionaire because the person that owned her show, Roger King of King World, gave her a stake in the show. NOTHING else has been successful for her. Her OWN TV station is all reruns, Weight Watchers has not been successful under her, etc.
ReplyDeleteThe SEC filings will tell the story about the Kylie Cosmetics/Coty stake, and I'm going to get them and see what they say. I do believe Kylie Cosmetics sold a 600 million, 51% stake to Coty. We'll see what the SEC filings say.
