I don't believe they are. I was raised in a Southern Baptist home and their beliefs are nothing like that... unless they're some kind of fringe "Baptists". The only similarity I've seen is the "wives submit to your husbands" thing, but that's not just a Baptist thing...

ReplyDelete@TeeHee@U I'm from the UK and personally have no time for religion but a lot of our religious groups do a enormous amount for charity in the UK and abroad, The church of England and The Catholic church are huge land owners but it's the organisations themselves that are rich we don't have the gross Pastor's with Mansions and private jets like the USA does.

I thought you were a little out of hand when you started talking about how you knew Catholics and Mormons were actually good people despite having many kids and how they were accountants, execs, artists, etc. It sounded like the ignorant sh!t people used to say about Jewish people and African Americans, like oh they're good folks.
