I appreciate this singer/actor/porn filmmaker/celebrity sibling trying to give himself some publicity the past week or two. His latest though, shows he doesn't really understand who can forgive which crimes.
Not a chance. Pardoning Suge Knight while perfectly innocent people are fighting to be exonerated thru the Innocence Project will get Trump nowhere even more quickly.
I worked at Interscope back in '96 when Tupac was killed. I was in the executive suites when Suge Knight's death threats to Iovine, Cohen and Aronson meant we had armed guards on our suite doors in Westwood.
The three men had decided to kick Death Row out of Interscope because of all of the many cases against Suge Knight. I heard the stories and dealt with the phone calls and correspondence with Knight's attorney, Kenner, the stories purported by this group at Interscope to be TRUE. This is not a man anyone wants back out on the street because it is not his first murder by any stretch. The man is a menace and that's putting it mildly.
There's a reason why the period was glossed over in the epic documentary of Iovine and Dre "The Defiant Ones" and why they didn't want him near the Straight Out of Compton movie. People who actually know steer clear.
Don't know who killed Tupac. Honestly there were so many theories and I don't remember any of 'em. Except last I heard it really was the dudes from the casino. The rumor was Tupac and others from the Bloods beat up a Crip named Anderson in the casino and it was payback.

Wow Sunkist, I thought I had experienced intrigue at work! You win!!
ReplyDeleteSuge Knight is in on state charges for murder, a president cannot pardon anyone on state charges. At least I thought.
ReplyDeleteWow, Sunkist. I want to hear more! I wish we could have a CDAN skype session and share these kind of stories over treats and adult beverages.
