One easy way to see who is telling the truth. Does the A+ lister get to perform on television singing her old songs or not?

    1. Yep. Unless Taylor re records all of her hits again in acoustic fashion , she has no legal recourse

  5. Team Taylor here.

That scooter McScoot is a vile and nasty human. Maybe because I don't trust managers, they always seem to try and squeeze out the last drop of water out of a rock.

She does play the victim card and is far from perfect but I like her music. Me thinks she also is vocal about how shitty recording contracts can be to the artist, that she puts out statements to the public to warn other artists to pay attention on what they are signing..

I think she is heartbroken over Karlie. She got a lot thicker this past year too. Did she get off the drugs?

  6. she *is* going to re-record her old songs, she's just not allowed to until next year. the problem is that braun (who, say what you like about taylor swift, is a real god-awful sack of shit) isn't letting her perform a medley of her own songs on TV at an awards show, as they're arguing it's tantamount to re-recording them. it's not, but he can certainly afford lawyers that could drag the argument into 202 when it's no longer relevant

Enty not actually stating anything here and just going after those clicks.

  8. The more she complains, the more her old music sells. Maybe she doesn't want this to happen, and trying to blame them? I'm hearing more of her old music now than before. And country fans buy CDs, pop fans don't. Her back catalog is already worth more than they paid. Her fight should be with her management and lawyers.

I can't stand Big Machine's response to Taylor's statement... they don't even address any of the issues she actually stated she's having with them. That's why I think what Taylor is saying is true. Whether you like her or not, she's being honored in 9 days with a distinguished award bc she has worked her ass off the past 13 years. She's the second person to ever receive the award, the first woman. This moment should be about celebrating her success, hard work, and dedication as an artist, and also the fans who have come to love and support her along the way. She should be allowed to perform songs from previous records at any event she so wishes... Period. SHE. WROTE. THEM.

  11. Yes, we need laws. Criminal laws, civil laws, contract laws.

But that doesn't mean they should apply to pretty girls like Taylor Swift and Kesha.

  13. It's ridiculous that they can't find a financial solution that satisfies both parties. The way this is going they're both going to be losers.

  15. I heard Taylor's song "Lover" and believe it to be a total lesbian ballad. Also, she dances like a lesbian. But so does Pitbull so he might be a lesbian too.

  16. Page Six is the best for this, they have a comment and timeline on it. https://pagesix.com/2019/11/15/scooter-braun-scott-borchetta-slam-taylor-swifts-claims-about-amas/

  17. +1 Tay Tay. But she better steer clear of picking a fight with Carlyle.

  18. As one tweeter said, Taylor sold her music and got filthy rich doing it, so she should shut up. Her complaint is akin to selling your car and then whining because you can't drive it anymore.

Taylor Swift always knew she was legally entitled to perform her songs live. She just wanted to create drama and buzz. That's the sum total of her career other than writing bad songs about the guys she pretends to bang.

  20. This "Poor me" narrative is biting her in the butt now. Get a grip, Taylor. You're not a victim and own your ish.

  21. Braun is such an asshole, he deserves to be bullied a little.

  22. Yes I fully believe taylor quit drugs when she went away for about six months a year or so ago.

She is much thicker now. It is probably a far healthier weight.

  23. So, I sell my car to someone. If I think (and moan) like TayTay, I'm allowed to take it & drive it whenever I like - even though it belongs to someone else.

Or, Picasso sells a painting to the MOMA, if he thinks (and moans) like TayTay, he can grab it from the museum & show it whenever he wants.

    Exactly the same situation.

  24. Yup! Tay Tay...

    Doobie doobie doo...

  25. Shake it off and get better lawyers. Its called the music business for a reason. Or go be Kanye with your 501c3 tax free music.

  26. Swift offered to buy her music (she has the money)but wasn't allowed to.Scooter borrowed the cash but didn't read the fine print that states she can re-record next year making his $300m deal worthless. So he lashes out.

  27. hope she prevails. Scooter is a massive A hole.

  28. Offers have to be accepted...

    Can they both lose?

  30. I'm definitely on Taylor's side. It's ridiculous that she can't perform her own old songs. She doesn't own them anymore but Scooter is supposed to earn money from these songs by people buying and streaming these songs. She shouldn't be stopped from performing them. It's pure pettiness that he's preventing her performing her songs live. A bad business move too since her performing old songs would increase sales of these songs giving him more money. His response didn't even address the issue. He just said he wasn't preventing her performing live or doing the Netflix documentary. That is not what she accused him of. She's accusing him of not allowing her to sing her old songs live or use old songs and footage in the documentary. Taylor sings live so that's not the issue here as others have said. She performed a lot of her old songs live at the Time 100 Gala already. She left Big Machine because they would only let her earn back each old album for every new album released. That would take years and was just a way to try and keep her there. Yes, she has performed old songs on TV shows already this year but Scooter can pull this power move whenever he feels like it.

  31. I saw a video from Aug of TayTay doing her old stuff, is this supposed to be she can't preform them at certain venues but not others,? Sounds like everyone involved in this scenario is as awful as I thought they were, so whatev.

  32. It was a personal attack to fuck with TS. BML got caught lying, the receipts were proven. Then they released a statement today claiming they worked it out with Dick Clark Productions. DCP said it was news to them and hadn't authorized a joint statement which BML had to admit in another press release this afternoon. And in between all this Scooter threw Scott under the bus. Scooter and Scott are backstabbing liars. Taylor won this one by a mile.
