Blind Item #3 - Reader Blind

Many years ago, these two men met briefly in an arranged meeting. They shared a glib sort of charm and good looks as well as celebrity.

Person #1 who is deceased was in a place he could not leave.  He is just as famous after his death as he was when he was alive and there have been several films about him including a recent one by that free spending company that is often written about here.

Person #2 is an actor who at the time was A/A- and whose career had suffered a serious scandal the year before. He is still active but is not a leading man anymore.  He has also had success on TV.

#2 was supposedly there to research a role which was to be his comeback after the scandal. The role was that of a charming sociopath. Until this point, #2 had largely played romantic leads in teen films and been in ensemble films with other actors and actresses of the same age.

However, the real reason #2 was there was that he was and is a very dark person with some very dark behaviors. He wanted some advice from #2 especially on disposal of evidence.

  2. #1 Ted Bundy? Netflix had that movie where Zac Efron played him

I can't find an actor for #2 where any scandal timeline matches--Bundy got the chair in 1989

    1. That's what I was thinking. I can't believe he played Bundy.

  5. Rob Lowe’s scandal was scandalous even for 1988.

  6. Lowe's scandal WAS shocking, excellent sleuthing guessers!

  7. Oh, no. I hope this isn't true, but it fits. Rob Lowe played a charming sociopath in that movie with James Spader ("Bad Bahaviour"?)

  8. Also in the news is some guy named Zak Bagins who has a haunted museum, is in possession of Ted Bundy's kill kit. It should be in Utah's states evidence locker.

  11. Ted Bundy is definitely Person #1.

  12. Probably Rob Lowe, but Mark Harmon at the time was A list from St Elsewhere, was filming The Deliberate Stranger, and was fighting his sister for custody of her son, if you consider that a scandal.

  13. what evidence would he want destroyed?? cant see him being a murderer. Sheen yes, Lowe No.

  14. maybe it was disposal of evidence for his kinky sex stuff, not murder

  15. Ted Bundy is a better fit for #1 than Jeffrey Dahmer. Particularly if #2 was looking for advice on how to dispose of evidence. I mean Dahmer never really go rid of much evidence of his crimes; he had body parts in his freezer and apartment.

  17. Manson for #1. He hung around Dennis Wilson and the young Hollywood scene. Knew lots of actors.

  18. What recent film about Manson did Netflix make? They had one out about bundy this year.

  19. Ted Bundy and Rob Lowe

If Lowe went to the Penn in Florida and met bundy on death row there would be records of the visit

  20. So number 2 sought out himself for advice on disposal of evidence? Who writes these blinds

  21. Thank you bubbles. Guess the website does not have a copy editor.

  23. Wait, so this blind is saying #2 wanted some advice from #2 on disposal of evidence? Were there multidimensional #2s? Intriguing, did this meeting take place in area #51?

  24. What is the Rob Lowe alleged scandal?

  25. IIRC, Rob Lowe was caught - on tape - with an underage girl.

  26. Have you ever visited anyone in prison? Or on death row? Or even at MCC in New York? There are papers to fill out, big security checks and if it was someone as notorious and on death row like Bundy, all visitors, even a movie star, would have been identified and checked in. I do not think it would have been so easy to just slip in to see Bundy. You get body checked and your things put away in a locker. You are not alone. The assembly line of visitors takes hours. If Bundy or Manson had visitors, there is a record easily found if interested.
