As I told you months and months ago, the director from a hit movie franchise admitted quitting because of the foreign born alliterate A+ list mostly movie actor. No one likes working with him. No one. They tolerate him for a movie and go on with their lives.
Tim Miller and Ryan Reynolds. Deadpool 2
ReplyDeleteRyan Reynolds
ReplyDeleteMiller and Reynolds. Wow, once in a while Enty you're right. You're never right about Reynolds and Lively breaking up though.
ReplyDeleteWow, he must be really obnoxious to quit a big franchise
ReplyDeleteBut all his costars seem to follow RR on Twitter, so they must like him.

ReplyDeletePoor blake lively. Much too nice to end up with a d bag like that...
ReplyDeleteI see Enty still hates Ryan.
ReplyDeleteHard pressed to find anyone Enty actually does like. Unless they’re spies for him.
DeleteOh I think Blake is just as much of a douche as her husband. Like attracts like and all that...
ReplyDeleteShe will cut him loose after the deadoool sequel checks stop clearing! :)
DeleteI know some of the crews on both films. The scuttlebutt was that there were creative differences between Reynolds and Miller. Miller wanted a dark knight, darker take on it, and Reynolds wanted it to be funny. They got both. If it was a straight forward, start to finish movie it would have been meh. The mis-in-scene start with flash backs made it way better. That's the director telling the story.
ReplyDeleteFlash forward to Deadpool II, Ryan is now (in the Cohen Bros words) a "gen-u-wine, bona-fide certified" movie star. Huge budget, huge cast, a director who will say yes to Reynolds, and the producers, and more headaches. Many who crewed on the first movie took a pass on the second, and like the first, it was a Vancouver shot movie, but now with a largely LA crew. Not the same thing.
Then the unimaginable happened, well not really if protocol's had been followed- oh, and if they had an experienced stunt person, not a 1st timer. Accidents happen when you rush thru planning. There are crew members from that movie who are still suffering from PTSD from witnessing a young woman having her face ripped off from transiting thru a plate glass window, at high speed from her malfunctioning motorcycle. When you rush thru planning, you miss things, you get slack, and film sets are dangerous places, but the show must go on.
This is from the WorkSafeBC accident inquiry.
Joi ‘SJ’ Harris was killed when she lost control of a motorcycle during a stunt shoot near Vancouver’s Jack Poole Plaza on Aug. 14, 2017.
Harris, a professional motorcycle racer from Brooklyn, N.Y. was working her first job as a stunt person. Another Deadpool 2 stunt person told ET Canada that Harris was brought in days before the shoot when the original stunt person was unavailable.
Harris was riding the Ducati Hyperstrada 939 down a stairwell when the bike hit a curb and threw her through a glass window, according to a preliminary report from WorkSafeBC.
Yeah ok..
DeleteAlthough I have heard stories here and there about Ryan Reynolds being an Asshole.
ReplyDeleteI didn't honestly think it was this bad.
You know Ryan has to be careful.
Because you never know come a year from now His Career could be a very well be a different story by then.
And you know what it wouldn't surprise Me if sometime in 2020 we were to get a Blind Item about Him have a hard time securing a Role - let alone a big one.
He is funny...sometimes annoyingly funny so yeah there's that but whatever ...it works for the movies
ReplyDeleteHe just announced he bought an ownership stake in MintMobile. He keeps working and making money, while Lively keeps popping kids. To each his own.
ReplyDeleteRyan Reynolds reminds me of Dane Cook... liked him at first, then so full of himself that he crashes and burns in his own reflection.... where's Dane now? (not that I care)
ReplyDeleteAnyone see Weekend Update on the 23rd? Ryan Reynolds played a douche, lol! He played The Guy Who Knows The Owner.
