Blind Item #2 - Reader Blind Item
The deceased older lead and the recently deceased younger co-lead had an unusual competition on this adventure show with science fiction and horror overtones which was produced by this extremely successful movie and TV mogul . They would compete to sleep with whatever young actors came on set either as guest stars, regulars, extras, or crew. Neither man identified as homosexual although there were rumors about the older actor earlier in his career. This was on the down low. Strangely enough, they never had any desire to sleep with each other.
So we need two dead bodies and an old adventure/scifi/horror show.🤔
ReplyDeleteRichard Baseheart/David Hedison/Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea?
ReplyDelete@Super, I was just perusing the recently dead and David Hedison came up.
ReplyDelete@Brayson87, I started doing that but ended up down a rabbit hole. Then I started to think of old TV shows I loved as a kid, Lost in Space, Land of the Giants, and finally Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea!
ReplyDeleteGreat guess with Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. Basehart was hot AF when young man check out the Noir "He Walked By Night" but was pretty craggy by Voyage but still a nice looking man. Hedison was beautiful around that time.
ReplyDeleteInteresting competition to say the least. There would have been lots of opportunity with young men playing sailors. All adults. Sounds like a fun time and a real-life porno!
Voyage To The Bottom Of His Bottom. Now there is a made for TV movie.
ReplyDeleteJonathan Frid and Joel Crothers Dark Shadows
ReplyDeleteI thought of Dark Shadows too
ReplyDeleteLoved Dark Shadows. My mom watched As the World Turns and Soaps on that channel so had to go to the neighbors and watch in the summer.
ReplyDeleteI think Dark Shadows too. Too bad the movie was terrible, I'd like to see something like that back on TV.
ReplyDeleteIt has to ve Voyage to the bottom of the sea, because David Hedison just passed in July.
ReplyDeleteJonathan Frid and Joel Crothers died a while ago, last one in 2012, plus I don't see Dark Shadows being an "adventure show with science fiction and horror overtones."
ReplyDelete@Super Comic, Yes it was quite a rabbit hole, I gave up halfway through the number of actors who died in 2019.
ReplyDeleteLoved Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. Who could forget Kawalski - the crewman.
ReplyDeleteVTTBOTS totally fits. Irwin Allen, the producer. Brilliant Super Comic. One of these days I'll show you my FF 48.
ReplyDeleteyummy yummy
