Blind Items Revealed #1

October 5, 2019

The three of them all wanted to be paid the same and the amount is staggering. So, how do you make that happen? By charging almost triple the highest ever average ticket price for a tour. And the thing is, the show featuring the three who said they would never play together again, isn't all that great.

"Guns N' Roses"/Axl Rose, Duff McKagan, Slash

I would have never guessed this one. Rose and Slash could have easily gone on tour without Duff and nobody would have cared. You gotta admire the balls on the guy for holding out for equal pay.

    1. Maybe he didn't want to go so he made an insane demand, but his evasion effort failed because they met his insane demand XD

  2. I wouldn't have paid for a ticket ten years ago, let alone now. Nothing reminds you of your own mortality like watching old geezers strut around a stage like they were in their prime.

  4. More ego than actual talent. Go back to your retirement village Axl,Slash and Duff.

  5. Nothing like sagging tattoos, GNR has always sucked.

  6. Worst concert I ever went to. One of them had thrown a cigarette wrapper out the window on the way there and the limo driver got a ticket. Axl was so PO'd he refused to play. Heard Slash play a neighbors one evening and he was great.

  7. Saw their reunion show twice.
    Saw them in 1991.
    They were great then.
    They're A LOT better now.

  8. I went to see them and the tickets weren’t more than most other concerts.

  9. Charge what suckers will pay. Not complicated.

  10. Ticket prices are insane. Depending on the act, unless they were teen idols or heavy into relying on choreography/stage antics, if the vocals are strong, musical talent is ageless, imo. Look at blues artists and Tony Bennett performing into their 90s.
GnR could be great, but is Axl's voice strong? Is he guaranteed to not storm off the stage? The exasperation with that kind of crap is going to increase exponentially with the prices. I'd love to see Izzy back in the mix.

  11. I'm just saying you can see those kinds of acts all the time down at your local nursing home, it's free and they're happy to have people come visit.

    1. I always assumed Brayson was a softcock little faggot that would be into no talent lipsycning slutmuppets, this pretty much proves it

  12. Saw GnR at Century Link field a few years ago. It was a surprisingly great show and Axl was on time, sounded ok, and rocked the hell out of his mom bob haircut. Alice In Chains opened. For a brief period I felt like I was back in the early 90’s

  13. I like some of Slash's independent stuff. Rose is a gross pig.

  14. They can charge it because people are willing to pay it to see them. That's why they are in stadiums.

  15. Troy--mom bob, lol!😂

    Brayson-- that's quite a nursing home! Address?😉

  18. Apparently, things have changed so much these days in the Gunners' camp that when their bus broke down in the desert before their Dubai gig, Axl & co stomped through the sand for an hour so the gig wouldn't be cancelled.
Now when you compare that to when they cancelled their 1991 Manchester gig because Axl's psychic told him.not to play any shows that began with M, it's a complete 180...or is it 360?
    😉

  19. Buckethead is better than Slash

  20. What? Axl Rose in 2019 isn't that great? I'm shocked. SHOCKED, I tell ya.

  21. @Spudmonkey, Are you cruising for a$$ on CDAN, just come out of the closet honey. ;)

I prefer industrial or heavy metal, GNR is easy listening to me, but still good. You know the stuff they recorded decades ago, when they were good. Maybe watching old men gyrate live on stage is what you like, but no thanks.

  22. @Vita: Pretty sure Izzy said the reason he didn't do the reunion was these 3 wouldn't share the loot equally (one of his many tweets that are left up only long enough for Blabbermouth et al to screencap it and write their stories).

I debated going, but decided to save my money and just binge watch old footage instead. I figured it wasn't gonna live up to expectations since I was a little too young to see them in their heyday and I used to idolize them, lol.

Even if it was the classic line-up, the energy isn't gonna be the same when they're all doing it for money or nostalgia or whatever vs. that early need to succeed.

That said, I've seen Slash's solo shows a couple times and they were always great. And friends of mine went to the Vancouver show a while back and said it was awesome.
