Part of her deal in agreeing to make an upcoming movie was the studio would spend a certain amount of $ trying to get her an Oscar nomination and then a win. It is a lot of money. The thing is though, the movie is not good at all. It is going to look really strange, but no one wants to make the permanent A list mostly movie actress with multiple Oscar nominations/wins upset.
Streep?
ReplyDeleteOr Julia Roberts
Streep?
ReplyDeleteI think Meryl has done shit like this before.
ReplyDeleteGuess life is tough without her buddy Harvey to buy awards for her.
ReplyDeleteStreep and Little Women. What a vile, rapist supporting woman. Wonder who will be her new "god" now that Harvey is out of commission.
ReplyDeleteMeryl Streep:"Harvey Weinstein is God." Never forget...
ReplyDeleteAnd her standing ovation for Roman Polanski. Harrison Ford's face said it all. Good for you Harrison. He truly looked disgusted.
ReplyDeleteShe’s an oversexed pig. Rumors abound of some kind of mansion in the Berkshires where she and Donny host lake side orgies
DeleteI was shocked when I heard certain things about her which seem more true -than not- as time goes by.
DeletePlease share more guys. I don't doubt.
DeleteThose nominations tend to stick out like sore thumbs, especially when every legit source runs an article on the overlooked performances. I hope this gets revealed.
ReplyDeleteWait! I've obviously missed out....Tricia13 can you give us a summary of what is so shocking?
ReplyDeleteOpen marriage, dalliances with younger men... using her power in Hollyweird to get casting approvals and couching opportunities.../
DeleteIn short: Out Of Africa miscast her... she’s the wild beast🙃🤭
🤟
DeleteMeryl Streep has also been to Epstein Island. What a coincidence ???
ReplyDeleteShe always came across as immoral to me, like she recognizes right and wrong and will go out of her way to choose wrong. Now Harvey is more amoral, he probably truly believes that whole world should bounce on his d!ck and thank him for the opportunity, that he's a cool guy.
ReplyDeleteWhoever cast Emma Watson as the elegant Meg, seriously needs to find another profession.
There is one definitive
Little Women: 1994.
Winona Ryder is JO , Christian Bale is Laurie, Gabriel Byrne is Prof Baehr; Winona was Oscar nominated. A remake is unnecessary and ridiculous .
End of rant .
Wrong Wrong WRONG
DeleteLittle Women with June Allyson and Elizabeth Taylor is the only version worth watching.
Wasnt there a blind on here a whle ago that she was having an affair w Idris Elba?
ReplyDelete@Kelly she boinked Edris Elba! I'm kind of jealous over that, but otherwise I wish Hollywood would stop brown nosing her and her ugly face!
ReplyDeleteImagine getting all excited about going to your first Hollyweird orgy and then seeing that raddled old sack of bones bearing down on you with a tube of lube and a smile of carnal expectation.
ReplyDeleteHoping for ScarJo, JLaw, that standard?
Nope, no such luck. It's Meryl the molester pestered lubing up and easing herself onto you as you desperately try thumbing it in and pushing rope into her cavernous old sandy minge.
It's enough to make you feel acid tears.
Or rocking back and forth naked on a sex swing.
Delete*shudder*
'pesterer'
ReplyDeleteThanks Tricia and A List! Its hard to wrap my head around it though, she is just so ugly!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletehahah gotcha and I do. Thanks Tricia, you're right. Not worth it.
ReplyDeleteMeryl Streep another one on my list of celebrities I can't stand the sight of while they are beloved by almost everyone else. I think she's vile.
ReplyDeleteAgree
DeleteFlashy w/ post of the day.
ReplyDeleteWhat, no mention of Pigstein out with young women in "creative spaces" trying to find ever more women to bribe/threaten/rape and paying TMZ to insult anyone standing up to him?
ReplyDeleteSaw Laundromat last night and thought Streep was Betty White. Betty would've been more convincing.
ReplyDeleteRonan Farrow's book shows his "respect for the law" that is to say, none. It seems clear to me that the original article assignment was used, as so many others reportedly were, to find out who were the witnesses and what they were saying so he would know who to try to discredit and threaten. Bully and creep are in my opinion two of the nicest things things one could attempt to say about him.
ReplyDeleteWithout Farrow and a few other people, you wouldn't use any picture featuring Weinstein and some other actor and look shocked by it. Actually, if you had been reading the site for a long time, you wouldn't have minded getting your picture taken next to Weinstein before The New York Times and The New Yorker published their separate exposés on him.
ReplyDeleteI remember the actual blinds on Weinstein prior to the 2017 scandal. According to Enty's stories, sure, he had used his clout to blacklist a couple of actresses who turned down his casting couch, but the true villains of the stories were actresses like Gretchen Mol and Gwyneth Paltrow, who had slept with him in order to get their career launched or relaunched, and the real victims were their rivals for some major parts, like Winona Ryder. Weinstein was basically depicted here as some old school studio mogul, à la Zanuck or Cohn, nothing more harmful.
They say history is written by the winners. Here, we see that it's rewritten by the losers.
Wait, they talk about Tricia on other sites? Wow she's like an internet celebrity, cool 😃👍
ReplyDeletehaha it is kind of amazing if you think about it, Tricia. You are one poster on another website and they are obsessed with you. The internet is full of scary nut jobs, but you handle it well. :)
ReplyDeleteAw shucks! Thanks... I heard he(Michael
Deletek wrote about me once (or posted my guesses to Blinds).. as for the rest- hey “you ain’t somebody till a lot of nobodies “ are are talking bout ya,I guess🤷♀️
Margo robbie and her almost non existant spoke words in that crap rip off of manson
ReplyDeleteSo Streep for the blind ?
ReplyDeleteI get the Streep hate (and yes, I think this blind is about her), but I do think she was a wonderful actress. The Hours is one of my favorite movies, along with a few others of hers. Lately, it's becoming hard to separate her protection of Harvey and others from the characters and movies that I really enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI use to love the Devil Wears Prada...such a classic movie in my group of girlfriends. I found I just cannot watch it anymore or anything Meryl is in because I feel like I supporting a Harvey enabler/ procurer.
ReplyDeleteThere are plenty of actors/ actresses I disagree with and still can watch, but I think Merly, just like Oprah, knew what a scumbag these Hollywood honchos were and told girls who looked up to these two "icons" for advice and that advice was sleep with Harvey/ whoever else for a job when in reality the connections in the end only helped Meryl get more parts and Oprah get richer.
But...free country. If you want to support. these women. Go for it. I just can't anymore.
Strange, my take was never that Tricia13 didn't have anything to do but be on this site, quite the opposite. I'm impressed that she has a full life and still has time to answer these blinds for people like me who look to her for answers I wouldn't get otherwise. Please Tricia13, keep it up! And enjoy your children and the beach!
ReplyDeleteThank you Aunt Bee-we do❤️
DeleteNow I want to be on the beach. Tricia, I will be there shortly. LOL
ReplyDelete@TeeHee - No, I totally agree with what you said. I also really have a hard time now with Oprah, Meryl, and folks like JLaw and other #MeToo women who couched and won't admit that they got the right roles for doing it and didn't see anything wrong with it at the time. Anything for fame.
Derek - what does Tricia lie about? I've been on this site for a good 7 years, back when you went by Derek Harvey and when you got a post guess right, you posted "Nailed it!". Even back then, you seemed to go after Tricia. I took a social media break for a few months and when I came back, Enty had just switched back to blogger. You were gone, but apparently not. In all seriousness, what is the deal here? This, to me, just seems like a lot of wasted energy for you.
A person can be talented and also an awful person. Sorry to read that is the case with Streep.
ReplyDeletePlease tell me Tricia is not one of the pearl clutching old bags at Dlisted. They all believe they are the edgiest coolest bitches on the web. It's the sane dozen or so old hags controlling the message boards and bullying anybody else who tries to comment. I haven't been to that site in years and don't miss it. MK is a good writer though brilliant even. I'm sure he's gone nuts with TDS by now. They must all be out of their minds with it LMAO would be funny to see but not funny enough to actually go to the website.
ReplyDeleteNo.. god I never knew what it was until people told me about it here... bless their hearts, but not my style,no.
DeleteI can't stand sanctimonious people, and her clapping for Polanski turned me off of her WAAY before HW. Yuck.
ReplyDeleteAll she has going for her as an actress is eyes that get red around teh rim when she cries. PUHLEEEEEEZE
Can we go one year without seeing Harvey's buddy Streep at the Oscars. But does anyone really watch anymore?
ReplyDelete@teehee I think the look of disgust was more for her based on this
ReplyDeletehttps://images.app.goo.gl/Sh263acH1VKd8zFq6
Meryl always expects a spot to be kept for her. A lot of more deserving actresses missed out on noms. She was once a great actress, now almost a parody. As for what @Angela said about the way Harvey was portrayed here, that's simply not true. Some commenters here shared first hand stories. We were repelled by him. There was a lot of hostility to the women who played along, sometimes Enty was called out. But without each backstory it was impossible to tell some of the victims from the enablers. Rose McGowan and Ashley Judd were so damaged they were shunned by the industry and the public. But people like Streep,Oprah,Gweneth,J Law helped elevate the Weinstein image. The public preferred to believe them.
ReplyDeleteI cant wait to read the meltings here when Harvey is exonerated by the courts.
ReplyDeleteWell this should be interesting because the buzz coming out of all the screenings of Little Women is that Saoirse Ronan absolutely steals the show.
ReplyDelete@Count, Harvey Weinstein will probably win his cases, but he is not exonorated, anymore than OJ for instance. He chose his victims and enablers well.
ReplyDelete@Count, Well sure in NYC, that's how it works, but other areas are interested in charging him.
ReplyDeleteThis is Meryl Streep and "The Laundromat". I watched it last week, and it's not very good, and Streep's work is not award-calibre at-all.
ReplyDeleteWhat surprises me on this website is the same people who attack Streep and Oprah for alledgedly enabling Weinstein then turn around and use the worst kind of misogynistic language to attack and demean them.
Streep really needs to get over herself, she's not that good.
ReplyDelete@Miss Davie
ReplyDeleteSounds like you got some ageism going there, with the 'pearl clutching old hags' comment.
I notice you made sure to throw in the word 'old' more than once, in a single comment.
Of course you are aware that ~~you~~ will be an old hag or old fart yourself one day?
