I agree with feeling bad for Stodden. She was obviously sexualized very early in life. She really should be the canary in the coal mine of the sexualization of young girls. This is what happens. This is really almost all that can happen. Children cannot process sexualization and it fucks them up as adults.
This girl just gets sadder and sadder. I wish she didn't think she needed some sort of life dependent upon her sexuality. She's had a giant RESCUE ME sign above her head for a very long time.
I always wished she could recover from the abuses she had since childhood, but according to an old professor of psychiatry I had classes with, a sexual abuse victim never really recovers ...

Courtney Stodden. Poor girl. She's got a real vulnerability and sweetness to her very much like Marilyn Monroe did. She's being exploited like MM was, too. This is all she knows and it's going to take a huge effort and something just short of a miracle to help her turn things around. I suspect that deep down she knows this isn't the way to live but doesn't know how to get out of it.

ReplyDeleteCourtney has said many times that she wasn't sexually abused. Not everyone who is hyper-sexual or screwed up was sexually absued.
