I have been telling you for months that this A list mostly movie actor/director has been regularly falling off the wagon. Glad to see the other gossip outlets are catching on.
Anyone else ever ponder the similarities between Ben Affleck, Ashton Kutcher and James Franco? Three peas in a pod, right there. All three are skeevy misogynists with ruined livers.
I agree @ Marie. My thought on him is at least he tries. He seems pretty present, as much a a drunk can be, in his kids lives and he does work. Perhaps he will quit one day but he also may just keep doing what it is he is doing as long as his body holds out.
Mountain Mama-- good point...it can be sad and scary for the kids if they witness it, but he seems like he has together moments when with them. I guess we wont really know on that. Hopefully, he'll get it together. The pics of him stumbling out of the UNICEF party arent that different from sober me just trying to walk in a mask!
Ben is just one of those drunks. He loves alcohol, he's not ashamed in the slightest and he's deeply sad when forced into rehab. He has no desire to get sober, just trying to find a way to live his life around it.
I think Ben really does want to get better. Why else would he keep going to rehab, even when no one knew he had a problem? I think he's a basically decent guy who's gotten messed up by the entitlement that comes from being a big celeb.
Acting makes you drink? Before I spent 3 years of FT acting including 4 hrs a week on "emotional freedom," I wasn't that thirsty. The LORD spared me from HW... Thought BA was awesome in DD as was JG aka Elecktra.
