I feel like Lizzo hit A list this summer. Truth Hurts was number one and broke records, etc. And the internets were raving about her BET awards and MTV performances.
I had to stop following her on Instagram because it is just too much in your face nudity and vulgarity for me. Yes, I'm clutching my pearls. Ha. Instagram makes me hate so many celebrities. Ie., Lisa Rinna.
Yes, I think this is Lizzo and the CeCe Lawsuit. I wish we could get back to accurate songwriting credits. I used to love reading the lyrics and liner notes, now credits on every song must look like a phone book
Lizzo being sued for the line "I just took a DNA test..." in "Truth Hurts". She's now admitting the line was taken from a meme going around. I'm kind of shocked the people thought she made it up. My guess is that the best lines in the song were memes that were floating around the LGBTQ and black communities. "Why are men great, till they gotta be great?" "I put the sing in single." Lizzo used her persona to put this all over in a great hit song, but I really doubt she came up with the lines herself and apparently neither did her songwriters/producers.
