This A list mostly movie actress who is an Academy Award winner/nominee noticed there were about twenty unused seats at a premiere last week. So, she went outside and grabbed twenty fans to come in and watch.
How were the fans chosen? Were the most attractive ones granted entry, or was it the youngest ones, oldest ones, LGBTQIA ones, straight ones? Before we know the answer to this question, how can we be certain it was an act of kindness and not discrimination on the part of the actress?
@Yepthatsme - WTF? Do people in your area wear name tags that say "Hi, I'm Yepthatsme and I am gender fluid"? How would this actress even know age, sexual orientation, etc? Your comment is laughable and ridiculous.
Prtemiers are usually "invitation only." A few empty seats does not matter as the reviews have already been made. So this was more of an act of kindness than "seat filler."
Yeah, but how many "FANS" were left traumatized by her actions? Now they need safe space for them coz they were not invited in by this actress! This will result in them feeling like it was their fault somehow that they were not chosen! Now those same fans will feel inferior to their fellow fans and this will cause resentment between them! And who is to be held responsible for this turn of events? Waiting on the reveal on this, so that we may know who is to be cancelled next!
This is awesome. Nothing ever is this sweet around here. Last time I read something like this here it was about Sam Rockwell. That was quite some time ago.
I have my own kindness blind. There’s an indie theater near me that I love. Usually they show current films, but every once in awhile they’ll show a cult classic. A few months ago they showed Laura (which is the first time they’ve ever had a movie from that genre.) An older gentleman introduced the film & had a Q&A afterwards, then said that a bunch of people were going across the street to get a drink and a bite to eat and invited anyone who wanted to join them to come along. There were hundreds of people there, so I sort of hesitated...then some guy told me I should come. We had the whole upstairs of the restaurant (maybe 70 people), a huge buffet & an open bar. It was a great time, & the speaker paid for the whole thing! 🍷
@James Howlett: I remember that blind. I wonder whatever happened to that girl (the designer who was crying) and if she ever designed a dress for Leslie Bibb.
@Vita: No, but I’m sure I can find out. I literally walk by there everyday. (I’ve been bugging them about the Michael Hutchence movie—they don’t know if they’re getting it.) Interesting guy. Probably around 80, with a walker and he still teaches. Some of his students were also there and they have a sister school in China and some of the students from China also attended.

ReplyDeleteBeing a "spontaneous" attitude does not seem that she had a chance to choose.
DeleteSummary:
ReplyDeleteActress finds free seat fillers, nomination for humanitarian of the year secured.

Delete@thia...
ReplyDeleteyeah, cuz gender fluid, queer people and transgenders never ever draw attention to themselves....
A real kindness would be to make a movie people were eager to see.

ReplyDeleteNow...let's see how kind and, more importantly, rich she is by asking
ReplyDeleteDid she buy them all popcorn and sodas?
@Unknown, yes but we're talking about a premiere, not a prtemier. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh come on, folks. I thought this was a very nice thing to do.
ReplyDeleteUnknown-- "Did she buy them popcorn and sodas?" LOL 😂😂
ReplyDeleteI have no clue who this was, but it was a very nice thing to do. Im sure it made the night unforgettable for all of them.

ReplyDeleteBut I think the answer to this blind is Renee.
How fun! ❤️ Glad you decided to go!
DeleteP.S. I answered you on the other blind. 😉
@Freebird: I responded to your other post. Yes, send me your email. If you see this, post it here so I’ll know where to look. 🤓❤️👧
ReplyDeleteLol. Didn’t see this before I posted my comment up above to you. 😂 I saw it & answered you back. 😊 Lemme know when you see it.

ReplyDeleteI like this blind. A small gesture but a sweet one.

ReplyDeleteAquagirl-- that's awesome! I love that movie. Do you remember who the speaker was?
ReplyDeleteNo way would it be Joker, @gauloise. The response to it has been overwhelmingly positive. It's a fantastic film and Phoenix deserves an Oscar.

ReplyDeleteAquagirl-- please let us know if you see the Michael Hutchence movie!
ReplyDelete@VikingSong Its popular now, but the press was really pushing hard against it and the FBI issued a shooter warning.
ReplyDeleteI know someone who saw it on opening night and they said there were quite a few free seats.
