Kevin Smith came to my high school to talk to us after my English teacher stalked him. He was obsessed with Clerks. He showed us a clip of Chasing Amy and was really funny. None of us had a clue he would become famous. Who knew!
Presumably, if the daughter is young (I assume enty would have mentioned if she or the friend were underage), I may give a crap that my friend is being a perv. But I agree this tea is lukewarm at best.
Also who was dumbass that said “no idea that he would become famous” and showed a clip of chasing amy? Mallrats and clerks were hugely popular and chasing amy was his best film. Fucking idiots.

@YoSoy, When Kevin Smith started releasing movies nobody knew who TF he was besides being sidekick Silent Bob. He started with an indie, then some mainstream funny films, nobody knew he'd still be around today and still big. Also teens typically don't pay attention to new directors or writers, it's all about the cast.
Watched Clerks long ago and couldn't get past long-haired cap guys language (Jay?). Everything other word was fuck. Was he supposed to be funny? or an idiot? a wanna be ganster? Just couldn't get it.
If we allow that this blind is about Fat Kev and Ben, it should be noted that Kev's daughter Harley's best friend of record is Lily-Rose Depp, Johnny Depp's daughter, and Harley's Yoga Hosers co-star. She does kind of look like the pouty little waif type that Ben likes to chase. Really hope he has more sense than that, but not optimistic.
I think the other factor in their rece t "reconciliation" is Jen Garner no longer calling the shots. I always got the impression that Jen was not a fan of Kevin's and she was the reason why Ben &Kevin stopped hanging out. Could be that Jen thought Kevin's blatant potbuse was harmful to Ben's sobriety.
