One of the things that will keep getting the A+ list dual threat actress who is an Oscar winner and her A list actress with the iconic role in her past more roles is the way they are promoting the hell out of a show they know is really not that good. It is actually pretty bad. Oh, and pretentious, but they are out there promoting it. The lead male is kind of bailing, much like he did on that movie within the last year that sucked. He just told the studio he to cancel everything and he was done.
Jennifer Aniston?
ReplyDeleteReese/Aniston/Steve Carrell
ReplyDeletethe morning show
ReplyDeleteAniston/Witherspoon and is it Carell or Crudup?
ReplyDeleteOops and Reese lol
ReplyDeleteReese and Jen An
ReplyDeleteWitherspoon, Aniston, Carrell (Beautiful Boy?)
ReplyDeleteToo quick Reese and Jen Aniston
ReplyDeleteIs this Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Anniston? A fortune was spent on the show,so probably in the contract to promote. And they will get noms. " the Morning Show".
ReplyDeleteAniston and Witherspoon
ReplyDeleteThe Morning Show
ReplyDeleteCarell has got to hating that his character was just in time to match up with Lauer being accused of rape, kind of dampens any enthusiasm or empathy from the audience.
ReplyDeleteSteve Carell
ReplyDeleteJust saw an Apple tv commercial for Jennifer Aniston in some stupid morning news tv show.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I have toenails to cut.
Reese and Jen
ReplyDeleteno comments today?
ReplyDeleteWitherspoon/Aniston
ReplyDeleteOh yeah Carell must have bailed on Welcome to Marwen.
ReplyDeleteReese Witherspoon/Jennifer Anniston/Steve Carell
ReplyDeleteReese and Jennifer. I saw Steve Carrell on Colbert, but didn't spend a lot of time talking about the show.
ReplyDeleteThat damn show keeps putting Goodbye Stranger in my head.
ReplyDeleteInteresting...a couple of articles I have seen gave it pretty good reviews.
ReplyDeleteCarell with Welcome to Marwen
ReplyDeleteI gotta give Reese/Aniston credit for still hustling promo even if the show sucks. Also wow what happened to Anistons face
ReplyDeleteJen & Reese have been on every talk show under the sun this past week. Jen did look terrible on Colbert last night
ReplyDeleteIt's not Apple's fault that Netflix, Amazon, Disney, HBO, Showtime, broadcast networks, etc already bought all the good tv shows. It's a miracle they're not just stuck with puppet shows.
ReplyDeleteAnniston got the Zellwegger Puffy Facial Special
ReplyDeleteDidn't Carell kill somebody with a trident?
ReplyDeleteDude's probably in hiding.
@cheesegrater don't you mean : "Goodbye Toby"
ReplyDeletehahah I now always change the words to Goodbye Stranger thanks to Steve Carrell/ Michael Scott
The show does look awful. But, props to Jen and Reese for promoting it...but, then again they are executive producers and Steve is not to my knowledge.

ReplyDeleteWitherspoon's ancestor, John Knox Witherspoon, was a president of Princeton University in the 1700s.
ReplyDeleteHe owned slaves. On his death, a list of possessions included "two slaves, valued at $100 each."
Very sad. I wonder what happened to them, when Witherspoon died in 1794.
These people make millions of dollars and then can't be bothered to do PR even if its a crap film. If you thought it was a crap film to begin with then why did you do it in the first place? You sold out? You wanted the millions and then not fulfill your contractual duties? What a POS. He bothers me, he always looks like he's just buried a body underneath his house and is sweating it out in front of people. I wonder if he paints clowns?
ReplyDeleteReminds me a bit of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. It's hard to drum up sympathy with characters who are earning 000s but aren't quite getting what they want out of life.
ReplyDeleteSo her ancestor owned slaves? What difference does that make for her? She didn't own slaves. God help us all if we are judged on the misdeeds of our ancestors.
ReplyDeleteThe show is pretty good and I like the angle that Carrel's character got "Me too-ed" for consensual sex and ends up lumped in with Cosby and Weinstein. I'll be interested to see where that goes.
