Blind Item #34 - Emmy Awards
The alliterate Susan Lucci of Oscar nominations not named Glenn Close really was convinced by her people she was going to win last night and after the show, she broke down.

ReplyDeleteAmy Adams is overrated and sharp objects was boring.
ReplyDeleteAmy Adams-quite frankly, it was always Michelle Williams award to lose. Amy also suffered from Sharp Objects being last year and also, did anyone actually watch it?
ReplyDeleteMichelle Williams is wonderful and no, I didn't see Sharp Objects. Anyone else?
ReplyDeleteAdams was miscast in Sharp Objects. I never bought it.
ReplyDeleteWe loved sharp objects
ReplyDeleteSharp Objects is one of my favourite books, absolutely agree she was miscast.
ReplyDeleteShe had a LOT of people including her peers constantly telling her she was going to win
Glenn Close is not alliterate
ReplyDeleteLove these feel good stories.
ReplyDeleteJulie and Julia <- alliterate horror show.
If Sharp Objects shouldn't have been nominated for being on last year, how did Black Panther win at the 2019 Oscars when it came out in January 2018?
ReplyDeleteGlen Close is not even close to being alliterate. I mean WHAT? LOL
ReplyDeleteAnd...as I posted yesterday, Amy Adams (who cannot act....seriously...I can understand how the British feel about accents after both True Blood and Sharp Objects with Southern US accents) is a HW gal.
I remember I watched the first 2 episodes of Sharp Objects and shut it off in the middle of the second one.
ReplyDeleteWell if she'd just go and f*ck Harvey she'd be a shoo-in, the game is still real.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, she is generic redhead #4 or #5 or whatever, they're pretty much interchangeable.
I like Amy, but I couldn't get through that show, and Michelle Williams had a much more challenging role.
ReplyDeleteLoved the book but I agree the show was unwatchable.
ReplyDeleteFor the longest time, I thought Amy Adams did a horrible job in movies trying do an American Accent.
