  1. We’re on our second year of full time RVing so...yes

  2. No. The last time I went camping I was a teenager over 30 years ago.

  3. No. If people were supposed to sleep outside, the FSM would not have invented inside.

  4. Yep! I live in rural Virginia and we also have a 16 acre off grid property an hour away. No cell phone coverage, little lake that no one else has access to, no light pollution. It’s great!

    1. That sounds perfect! You are so lucky to be able to enjoy that with your family.

    2. Thanks! My girls do love it. I wish we could spend more time out there but weekend sports have ruined it. Oh well, it’s fun when we do get out there!!

    1. Sure it counts. And if you pass out naked with the windows down, you get extra points.

  7. Went camping quite a bit growing since we had an RV. But I don't camp now, would rather stay in a hotel.

  8. If you mean in the family room around the fireplace when the power goes out...then YES.

  9. Only if it involves a music festival

  10. Hell no, only if it was in a luxury RV.

  11. Camping is the BOMB. I love it. It is great when you know what you are doing!

  12. Not anymore. Did it all the time when i was younger (mostly in campers). Doesn't at all sound appealing as middle age man. Rather hotel it or just drive home..my "camp" needs wifi, AC, and a comfy bed. Tents are glorified tarps.

  13. Never been and have no desire to go

  14. Yaaaaaas! We have a huge three room tent with electrical and an a/c flap, queen size double baffled mattress and everything you can think of including sun shower set-up and portapotty. I love to camp in the fall up in the Blue Ridge. We camp with a big group and trailer the sleds up there. We also do the Eastern Shore in early summer and some Bike Classics. I can cook just about anything over a fire and nothing is better than percolated coffee on a camp stove or Bunsen burner.

  15. Try the glamping style first. Then work your way down to sleeping on the ground.

  16. No but if we get an RV, I'll consider it.

  17. I live on wooded land so I don’t need to.

No. My idea of roughing it is staying at a Holiday Inn.

  21. Is being homeless count?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Yes and love it. Backpacking as well as RVing.

Camping... spend a fortune to go live in the woods like you're homeless. ;)

  23. Hell yeah, no wonder most of you people are so negative! Go outside, grill some damn chicken, and socialize with your friends!

  24. We go stay in cabins at a retreat center. The cabins have electricity, a/c, and bathrooms.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Yes, looking out the heated cabin window at the great outdoors with either a cup of coffee, or a glass of wine.

  26. No. Hotels exist for a reason.

  27. Not as much as I used to, but would love to start doing it again

  28. What is the allure of it? I'm being serious.

    Laying down in the dirt?

    Open to bears and maniacs?

IDK -- I never understood it. I'm not knocking it. I just never understood it.

  31. Epon I wondered, too. I've seen a few ads and some personal attacks go through.

  32. Enty is primarily concerned that Tricia doesn't get picked on. Doxxing is shit so I agree with it, but for all the other nasty shit he allows it just makes you wonder...

My guess would be that no system is perfect. The spam will always find its way through, however the personal attacks should be kept on a pretty short leash. If they are not kept to a minimum then whoever is modding here needs to step their game up
