Sting
Damn I hope not.
ReplyDeleteI was never a fan but as cancer survivor myself, good luck fella.
ReplyDeleteLickin too many vagunasv
ReplyDeleteand smoking..
DeleteMichael Douglas cancer?
ReplyDeleteGordon is a peer (they don't die of these diseases) and his act has rigor mortis. The Police/Solo library will get a sales boost once he's "dead".
ReplyDeletehe s a total piece of shit but i wish him the best (I m skin cancer survivor myself)
ReplyDeletebtw DAVE MUSTAINE has also throat cancer ... pitty cause I heard he s a nice guy
liver, lung or pancreatic is preferable ? hmmmm
ReplyDeletenope. all horrible ways to go.pancreatic is quicker because its usually too late.
DeleteOh no!! Poor Sting-a-ling-a-ding-dong.
ReplyDeleteI've never been a fan of Sting but I'm very sorry to hear this.
ReplyDeleteSorry Sting. Hope you beat it, an old friend of mine just died from throat cancer, never had a chance it spread too fast.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that, I like his music
ReplyDeleteThe book Weird Scenes Inside The Canyon by David McGowan has a weird mention of Sting and The Police.
ReplyDeleteSting is old enough to have been a real "hippie" of that generation but he came along a good 10 years later to be a "punk". He also came along fully formed sort of like Jim Morrison, as a fully developed rock star with songs in hand, if I'm remembering correctly. Also one of the band's fathers was a very notorious ruthless record producer.
I've never liked Sting. I just don't know why. He's one of those people I have that instant reaction of dislike to.
I don't wish this on him though. Hope he gets well and leads a long quiet retirement.
It always shocks me how many singers smoke. You’ve been given this rare gift and are potentially going to ruin it by smoking cigarettes? SMDH.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, all the best to Sting.
Lots of running and yoga, but I used to be quite a fan & believe both parents died of cancer. I wish him well.
ReplyDeleteHuman Papilloma Virus (HPV) IS a sexually transmitted virus that has 20-30 different variants. For the past 25 years, it has been the primary cause of head and neck cancers. Most patients I have seen with these cancers never smoked. It also causes cervical cancer.
ReplyDeleteMost people who work or go to clubs "smoke." Perhaps not overtly, but they are inhaling the equivalent of a number of cigarettes per night, just by being there. I'm sure bar and wait staff don't think of this. My brother died of esophageal cancer. A couple of months before his death, I found his biological mother. She said that 8 out of 9 of the men who were his biological uncles and grandfather, all died of esophageal cancer, between the ages of 42 and 48. He died at age 46. Yes, he smoked, but had stopped 10 years previously. He also drank, and smoking and drinking together is a big cause of that particular illness. But I also believe that he was genetically vulnerable to that illness. When I found that out, his oncologist told his son, who was 16 years old at the time, to stay out of clubs, stay away from smoking and drinking and that his physicals from that point on needed to be far more rigorous than most people get.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I saw Sting play at North Sea Jazz a few years ago. He was scheduled to play for 1 hour, and played for 2 hours pretty much non-stop. Great concert.
yes, i had a coworker who was an alcoholic and went cold turkey. he started chain smoking, had his voice box removed and died after couple of years. HPV is the most likely culprit. wished the shot had been invented sooner
DeleteMiss Davie- Stuart Copeland's father was a founding member of the CIA. To repeat: Old rock stars old albums sell a whole lot better when they are "dead".
