This former A list mostly television actor who has starred in multiple hit shows is running out of money and selling everything he can to have enough to live because no one wants to hire him to work right now because of his issues.
Just for variety: Thomas Gibson (Dharma & Greg, Chicago Hope, Criminal Minds) fired from CM for anger issues? Or Matthew Fox (Party of 5, Lost) drinking problem?
Friends and Two and a Half Men still air constantly (daily and weekly BLOCKS of episodes) and on multiple channels. Charlie has more dependents than Matthew, but unless he's had a lot of undisclosed settlements going on, Id think he'd even be ok.
@Sarcastic Probably. Also, there's a good chance he didn't have nearly the same level of residuals that the Friends cast did. Their deal was notable for giving them a much, much larger share than actors usually get.
Ouch, painful to hear about people having to sell off their residuals...similar to the songwriters selling off royalty ownership...consistent income gone. Everyone has their own bargaining and breaking points, i guess.
Speaking of songwriting and ownership...there was a blind we were speculating was about the Prince estate not long ago. I heard on Sirius today that the estate will be releasing "albums' worth" of unheard material within the next two months. Im hoping this was done without being ripped off.🙏
Coincidentally, I went to a play in the west village tonight. My friend was late so I stopped to get an appetizer and a drink. The bartender was telling me that he just got a new apt. and vaguely told me where his new place is located. Finally, after many questions on my part, he said, ‘I live across from Friends!’ I just laughed my ass off and wished that Monica’s grandmother was still alive and gave ME the rent stabilized/controlled apartment. Trust..I’m much nicer than Monica. But nevertheless, so weird when someone just spits that shit out.
Aquagirl-- LOL, I guess that apt is a cultural icon as an understood reference. Im also confident anyone who's been an apartment dweller at some point has fantasized about THAT apartment and Monica's luck!
I LOVED the episode where the girls lose the apartment in the quiz show.
Matthew Perry?
ReplyDeleteI saw he has listed his LA penthouse for like 30 million or something. It’s nice ... but?!
DeleteAndy Dick?
ReplyDeleteMatthew Perry he shouldn’t be broke or looking for money.. Drugs makes one choose bad decisions
ReplyDeletePerry's usually got "iconic" in his blind descriptors. He's got barrels full of money... and starred in one hit show.
ReplyDeleteAnd god help us if Andy Dick is A list.
lol!
ReplyDeleteLove when a fool goes one way and his money goes another.
Danny Masterson? Jeffrey Tambor? Someone else hit by #Metoo?
ReplyDeleteScott Baio? Not that he was working much anyway but fits the rest of the description.
ReplyDeleteCharlie Sheen also fits most of the description.
ReplyDeleteThis is def meant to be Matthew Perry. Very sad. Appears he may have a colostomy bags too.
ReplyDeletewell property taxes are due in November.I don't know what kind of Healthcare he has or if he has to pay out of pocket.
ReplyDeleteHome of The Week: ‘Friends’ Star Matthew Perry Lists His Sky-High LA Penthouse for $35 Million
ReplyDeleteThat is really sad. I always liked him.
ReplyDeleteI like the Sheen guess - that fits. Perry does not.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't Matthew Perry get $20mil/year from Friends? How much more income does he need?
ReplyDeleteCharlie Sheen makes more sense for being broke and multiple hit shows
Just for variety: Thomas Gibson (Dharma & Greg, Chicago Hope, Criminal Minds) fired from CM for anger issues? Or Matthew Fox (Party of 5, Lost) drinking problem?
ReplyDeleteCharlie Sheen. Who would want to hire a train wreck like him?
ReplyDeleteSheen makes way more sense than Perry. MP is a mess with drugs, but he's got a lot of money and real estate.
ReplyDeletePerry would still have very regular and very large income from Friends.
ReplyDeleteSheen has some income, but it's nowhere near Friends.
Sheen has been selling off for a few years now
ReplyDelete+1 Sheen.
ReplyDeleteFriends and Two and a Half Men still air constantly (daily and weekly BLOCKS of episodes) and on multiple channels. Charlie has more dependents than Matthew, but unless he's had a lot of undisclosed settlements going on, Id think he'd even be ok.
ReplyDeleteI like the Matthew Fox and Thomas Gibson guesses.
how can this be perry? doesn't he make $20 mill a year just off Friends royalties??
ReplyDelete@Vita Charlie has had to settle a whole bunch of lawsuits from people he gave HIV.
ReplyDelete@mooshki, didn't Charlie sell off the rights to his residuals, too? Something like that?
ReplyDelete@Sarcastic Probably. Also, there's a good chance he didn't have nearly the same level of residuals that the Friends cast did. Their deal was notable for giving them a much, much larger share than actors usually get.
ReplyDeleteI'm voting Charlie Sheen on this one.
ReplyDeleteSheen sold out his residuals, remember, for pennies on the dollar. Matt Perry may have done the same.
ReplyDeleteMathew Perry was only on one hit show.(not to mention his $20mill a year for friends and a listed net worth of $80mill) This sounds like charlie.

ReplyDeletePerry. Can he BE any more pathetic?
ReplyDeleteAquagirl-- LOL, I guess that apt is a cultural icon as an understood reference. Im also confident anyone who's been an apartment dweller at some point has fantasized about THAT apartment and Monica's luck!

ChanandelerBong!😂
i can honestly say i have never watched an episode of friends. it just never appealed to me.
ReplyDeleteI like the Thomas Gibson guess. Checks all the boxes.
