ReplyDeleteI always knew it worked both ways. I worked under video audio surveillance going back to the 80s and was never happy about it, but at least I knew I was on camera. I was a bar manager, circa 85,6 and the insane club owner lived across the street and watched me all the time while he did coke.

When one of these recordings finally breaks about someone big enough, they are just going to tell us this is the first "deep fake" to be used on the public...when in reality it's probably real. I just don't know if PA and the British Royals are considered that "big" to roll out the first deep fake scam for.

Eh, the prince as Jack the Ripper has been firmly debunked. He wasn't even in England for most of the murders. The have narrowed it down to some Polish butcher with schizophrenia who lived in the area and some other guy with a penchant for violence. Then there's Patricia Cornwell who thinks it's the artist Walter Sickert.

ReplyDeleteI would not doubt that Albert Victor was Jack the Ripper. There are some nut cases in that family. Remember there was nothing like the internet in those days and the royals could say whatever they wanted to say and people were expected to believe it. Just because a few well placed people said AV was somewhere else does not mean that he was. There had to have been smoke for this rumor to have developed fire in the first place.

He did sound like a real piece of work, though, in other ways.
Speaking of the letters: forensic experts claim that at least some of them were written by reporters. I recall wondering why or how he would've had such calm, even penmanship. The theory is that papers wrote some of the letters so they could increase readership, and it worked.

Last year the Deep Fake stories started in earnest when the infamous "Hillary & Huma" video was supposedly about to ooze its way out of the dark web. Then the Deep Fake news disappeared just after the the video was determined to be bs. Now its back out the second we hear about Epstein's video evidence being made public or in the possession of the Feds.
What happened to Mountbatten was brutal. They took out not only him but a twin son and someone else too.

Agreed but IMO they are mostly worried about the PR fallout, and possibility that people will wake up and finally get it through their heads that any kind of "royal" is an anachronism in today's world.
I still don't think they can touch the Prince legally, they have already banned him from traveling to the US, that is about as much as they can do to him.
