    2. You say ‘LOLd’ but we all know what really happened. You shot pearly white ribbons of spunk all over the poor bloke sitting in front of you, didn’t you!

  6. Day Of The Jackal 1973. There have been no movies for quite some time, but I did watch The Founder recently and it was well done.

  7. "Woman at War", from Iceland. If you're sick to death of Marvel Comics #42 and want a movie an actual adult might want to watch, check it out.

  13. I can't even remember a movie I've watched in the past year that great that it springs to mind instantly.

Though if under-rated streaming shows are up for discussion The Expanse is fucking amazing and Bosch is fantastic too.

  15. There really hasn't been a single movie I've wanted to see this year. I've been watching fun movies on Netflix and Prime.

  16. Are we being moderated again? So...see you guys around some time. I enjoy eating my lunch and interacting with you all. Not waiting 2 hours to see a slew of comments. Have a great week everyone!

I definitely do want to see Once a Time in Hollywood as well.

    1. I watched Spiderverse, looking forward to it, because of the buzz, but not super high expectations. I didnt like it. Not bad, just meh and not my cup of tea.

  21. @Jerkula you weren't the only one! I saw it this past weekend and laughed again. But it may also have been due to the Gimp

  22. The recent blind about Misty Upham made me look up Frozen River on Netflix and watch it. Damn was she good and Melissa Leo was fuc&king amazing in that! She definitely deserved her Oscar for The Fighter also!

    1. Melissa Leo is great in everything. The Fighter, Treme, I'm Dying Up Here. If she focused on it, she would have as many oscars as she wants to dust.

  26. Lately, I've seen few movies, but enjoyed Yesterday.

  27. I take back what I said earlier a bit.

I watched Death of Stalin a few days ago and it was pretty good. Funny too.

That's all I can recall if you don't count Ready Player One which was memorable for all the wrong reasons. Utter shitshow and travesty. The worst farrago of a film I've seen in donkeys years.

  28. So far it has been High Life.

  29. Trapped - true, I've seen bedbugs + cinemas mentioned in the same headlines, many times.

  30. Wild Rose
    &
The Last Black Man Standing in San Francisco

Thanks for the 👍 on Yesterday. That was going to be my next choice.

  31. Can You Ever Forgive Me?

And the book was fantastic. Needed to keep the on-line dictionary open as I read.

  32. Spider-Man Far from home but I've only seen that and Godzilla.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I saw Highwaymen, and i love Woody Harrelson, but i thought it was just OK, nuthin special. I liked the Motely Crue movie more.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Endgame was pretty awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Wonder if they could ever do a decent Leonard Cohen biopic.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Looking forward to OUaTiH really loved Endgame but Spiderman was better as far as comic book adaptation goes. In Far from home Spidey was supposed to meet his long lost sister. There was supposed to be Kingpin as well. I wish they would stick to the source material like DC does. DC films are all bad minus Shazam. Some how it worked. Chucky made me feel bad for Chucky, the kid and his whore mom just sucked. Still haven't watched Moondog. I did like Shaft but I've always liked the series. Watching Leaving Las Vegas again.
