This former A+ list mostly movie actor who crashed and burned when given the chance to headline a movie is trying his hand at singing. What he won't be trying out is coming out any time soon even though the whole world knows he is gay.

I saw some commercial with Renner in it yesterday (some kind of bus or delivery service?) where he is "with his band" and all I thought was, "Every musician wants to act and every actor wants to be a musician."
Agree this is supposed to be Renner. Dude can sing. There's a clip of him on one of the late shows singing a song about Hawheye and it's hilarious (for all the right reasons)
He's got several jeep ads, and the songs aren't actually all that bad. They won't be chart busters or anything, but it's solid beer-bar tunage. I give him credit.
I'm confused on what 'leading' role of his "crashed and burned"? Tag? That was an ensemble movie, and while it didn't perform well at the box office, it's an enjoyable film. Ronner does well in it.
I agree that he's not leading man material, and shouldn't try to be. He's more of a character actor (especially as he grows older) and does best in a supporting role. No shame in that.
Dude also makes multi-millions flipping houses, so maybe he doesn't care about any of this.
Renner. He had two potential franchises that was trying to establish him as a leading man. Mission Impossible and The Bourne movies and both ironically just stuck with the old leading man. He got kicked off of both in hindsight.
To those asking what franchises Renner crashed and burned. It's both Mission Impossible and The Bourne movies. Both try to set him up as the leading man and then just ended sticking with the old one. Shame because he's great in indie movies.
How does an actor become A+ if they apparently have never opened and headlined a movie?? Clearly Renner was NEVER was A+ if he crashed and burned on first attempt. Prob A at best. Enterns need to review rating CDAN guidelines.
