Taylor can't expect people to be blackballed or celebrated at the twitch of her nose.
Ok so I went to the Lion King last night. There's a trailer for Tay tays new show Cats. Everyone from Tay to Jason derulo, Judy dench, and Idris fucking Elba is in a leotard. Oh, and rebel Wilson. In a fuckinggggleotard. I'm not skinny, but I'm also not getting into a GD leo. And that was the BEST part of the trailer, because I was so shocked I let out an audible gasp and my 4yr old had to tell me to Shhh! So horrifying. I'm still appalled. I shoulda wrote this whole thing in caps
I watched the trailer this a.m.! I was horrified for the DAME Judi dench, SIR Ian McClellan, and iris Elba to be associated with it! It looked hokey and weird! I mean let’s also remember, the broadway original was never very well received critically so it’s not like they’re defacing some titan of theater. I think it always did well because it was mostly spectacle, plus you could keep your kids entertained. I went for my eighth birthday and I thought it was the best thing I’d ever seen but ask my parents years later and they were like it was a bunch of adults dressed up like cats pretending to lick their paws and hit each other in the face, eh, it was fine but too long. I’m curious to see how it turns out, I really am.
Rosie a the outfits in Cats were CGI'ed in, so they aren't wearing them, and Katy is way finished and TayTay is closing in on her as a pop superstar who is finished.
I can't believe anyone is really dumb enough to voluntarily campaign to live in Kamalastan, but I believe if anyone is that dumb it's Katy Perry. Arianna, Katy and Demi Lovato were all campaigning for Kamala today in L.A. (and getting reassurance that under a Kamala rule there will be no disruption of the cocaine supply) while other stars were campaigning for Cory, who was with his girlfriend (wait for laughter to die down) Rosario Dawson using her A+++++ name and connections to raise funds for him.
So obviously after reading the above, I had to go and peep the "Cats 2019" trailer.
Holy Uncanny Valley, Batman.

Lot of talented people in it.
Why did they not simply make it a computer animation and be done? Why keep the very HUMAN faces on CATS.
What works on a stage does not necessarily work on screen and even at that, these aren't people in cat costumes. They are *cats with human faces.*

And if they are going to CGI to this extent, why include fat jiggles on Rebel Wilson cat, and snot dripping from the human nose of Jennifer Hudson cat?
They should've made Rebel a floofy cat...why is every cat short-haired? If they want to say "big lap cat" (Rebel) make it a floofy cat. It does look like Rebel in a unitard.
Is this Weinstein adjacent btw? I noticed mention of some past Weinstein productions.
