Apparently the celebrity sibling of a permanent A+ list singer is a sex addict but won't attend meetings because she doesn't think it is a real disease. She does however sleep with random men every week or so despite still being married.

Some sex addicts hit on or SA friends, family members, co-workers. (So they have two issues going on, probably.)
Many wreck their relationships with the risk taking sexual behavior.
IOW they can't control it.
Clarifying/rephrasing: they CAN technically control it, but it's a compulsion, so it's very difficult for them to do so, even if they want to.

I agree...sex "addicts" are more commonly drug addicts, drunks, people with undiagnosed bipolar or other psychiatric disorder or just plain sluts who need an excuse....
